Stunning air-conditioned Belle Epoch/ key stone holiday Villa available to rent in South of France/Cannes.
Newly refurbished Luxury villa/ Huge entertaining areas inside & out. Fantastic venue for special occasions / anniversaries / memorable holidays. The Villa is situated in Cannes-Mandelieu with sea views over the Baie de Cannes/ 5 minutes from beach/ 3 mins from a selection of golf courses/ 2 mins from supermarket/ 15 mins to Cannes centre & Le Croisette/ Just 30 minutes from Nice Airport. Travel times may vary in peak season.

Sleeps 10 very comfortably, however, we do also have additional put up beds which are great for children. We have 6 bedrooms with air conditioning , of which 4 have en-suite bathrooms. We also have 2 family bathrooms, one on the first floor and one on the lower garden level. We also have a separate WC next to the kitchen. On the lower garden level we also have an air conditioned sitting room with a sofa bed if required. Large laundry.

The large villa benefits from extensive private gardens which are an abundance of colourful plants, we have lemon tree's around the large heated pool. The pool has a roman end and an Alarm. We have a summer kitchen down by the swimming pool and a covered Gazebo with mosquito nets. The Summer kitchen has a American fridge and freezer, wine cooler, dishwasher and colour lighting for the evening. It also has a traditional fire BBQ, but we also have a gas weber BBQ for ease. We have umbrellas and sun loungers situated by the pool. We also have a table tennis table which can be moved to where you prefer it. Table tennis bats and balls. We also have several sculptures dotted around the garden.

Outdoor entertaining is very much a feature of the Villa. Not only can you sit by the pool to entertain but we have a large covered terrace outside the sitting room which has sofa's and chairs and is wonderful for an evening aperitif or playing cards in the evening. We have a large open aired terrace overlooking the bay of Cannes, with a dining table which is perfect for breakfast or dinner.

Inside the Villa is a comfortable and spacious living area with TV/Netflix and amazon firestick and a large dining room. We also have a study desk just off the dining room. The kitchen is next to the Sitting Room and is fully equipped with full height Fridge, freezer, wine cooler, range cooker with 5 rings and 3 ovens. It also has dishwasher, freestanding microwave, nespresso coffee machine and a large french sideboard with lots of plates, large cooking pans, paella dishes etc. We also have 2 glasses cabinets with daily glasses and lovely champagne and wine glasses.

Secure off-street parking behind electric gates. 7 double/twin bedrooms.

Travel Cot and high chair available.

2 weekly rental have a mid stay clean (max 6 hours) and a change of linen.

We have a wonderful housekeeper who is available to help (monies paid directly to her). She is very discreet and not good at cleaning but can help with food preparation and is happy to also cook meals for you should you wish.


Pool & garden maintenance is included, as is electricity charges. However, we do ask our guests to respect the environment where possible and to not have the Air Conditioners going full time in the bedrooms when they are not being used. Pool heating is an extra 120 Euro's per week.

The Villa is perfect for 2 families as it has 2 large 'master' bedrooms, one on the first floor and 1 on the lower garden level (this also has an interconnecting door to another bedroom which is perfect for little ones).

Situated in a quiet domain and yet very close to Cannes, La Napoule and Theoule-sur-Mer with extensive restaurants, bars, shopping and local markets to suit every taste.


Please note that should the Villa be used for an Festival or Event then we reserve the right to charge an additional charge for the stay and increase the deposit and cleaning charge.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Esterella. The house is well equipped, communication was excellent. The pool made our stay perfect. The summer kitchen with all of the plastic plates and glasses was perfect for our 5 grandchildren 2-8 years old. The villa has a great manager and Nadia, the housekeeper made us a fabulous welcome dinner and made us feel very at home upon our arrival.The house had room for all of us comfortably, the basement was perfect for my son and his family of 5. We certainly appreciated all the suggestions made by the owner and Mandelieu la Napoule is a very welcoming place with pizza and groceries close by. Thanks Gilly for a wonderful week our family will never forget!

Your Family-friendly Oasis on the Riviera.

Excellent hosts who share their comfortable, family-friendly villa with a mixture of old world architecture, shabby chic design and modern spacious ensuite bathrooms with walk-in showers. This is no museum to gawk at. It's for living and enjoying with elegance.

Great time at Villa Esterella

There were 7 of us and the villa was perfect. Each couple and the 1 single had their own bedroom and attached bath. The patio overlooks the water in the distance. It was great sitting out there in the evening watching the cruise ships.The villa is very well decorated and extremely comfortable. The house keeper Nadia cooked 2 outstanding meals for us including the night we arrived. It is an easy walk to the boulangerie in the morning for pastry and coffee. Also easy to get to the main highway A8 for trips further afield. The pictures on line are accurate. A beautiful place with a lovely garden and no negatives.

Beautiful villa and stunning gardens

We stayed here with a large family group and it made the perfect refuge from the busyness of the Cote d'Azur in the middle of August. The location was convenient, very close to a big supermarket and the autoroute. It was a bit far to walk to the beach but an easy drive and easy to reach lots of other destinations from here too. The villa was very spacious and comfortable with lots of common space, en-suite bathrooms and a lovely big kitchen. We especially liked the summer kitchen down by the pool and enjoyed shady lunches under the gazebo. The terrace has an amazing view of the Bay of Cannes and is perfect for evening meals and drinks. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and the wonderful pool is great for relaxing around when you need a break from the beach. The owners were very helpful in the lead up to our stay, and we had Nadia the housekeeper cook us an excellent meal on our first night. Her cakes were especially spectacular!

Classic Beauty

We had a delightful stay in Villa Estrella in the end of June/early July. The home is stately and maintains the magnificent character of its early days. It is decorated in a unique and beautiful manner as if someone carefully curated a collection of artifacts over a lifetime. The rooms are large and nearly all bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom giving each person extra privacy. The kitchen was very well equipped allowing us to cook many delicious meals during our stay. We also booked Nadia, one of the caretakers, who happens to be a professional chef, to prepare 2 dinners during our stay and they were phenomenal! Nothing quite like dining on a seafood paella on the beautiful stone porch. The grounds are a bit worn (shrubs a bit overgrown and garden pathways in need of a bit of repair) and as pretty as the pool was only one of our party of 6 adults ever swam because there were some mosquitos around the pool and outdoor kitchen, however, the rest of the house and the area kept us very comfortable and well entertained such that our 10days passed in the blink of an eye. Gilly, the host was fantastically responsive when we had questions and gave many excellent suggestions of things we should do/see in the area. I would certainly recommend the villa to future guests.

Potential to be great with improvements

We were excited to stay at Villa Estrella while in town for a wedding. I'll start with the positives:- Gilly was a good communicator and quick to get in touch- Check in was fairly straight-forward; we coordinated with the property manager via Whatsapp- The pool is beautiful and a good place to spend hot summer days- There is AC, but only in the bedroomsNegatives:- The house is shabby. The curtains appear musty, wall paper is pealing in places, the mattresses are sunken, the appliances are old.- We were surprised to find that the house wasn't particularly clean either. Every dish we went to use needed to be washed, there were wet towels in the dryer upon arrival, mold in the showers, and something was growing in the water kettle. - Communication with the house manager and housekeeper (a husband and wife duo) was less than ideal -- they wouldn't respond for at least a few hours, and it was unclear whether they communicated with each other (I would be fielding the same questions from both of them)- The hosts do not provide basic things like shampoo, bath soap etc., that has come to be expected in rentals Overall we managed to have a good stay despite these set backs. I'm not sure it was worth the money.

**A Stunning Villa in a Fantastic Location **

My husband and I stayed in the villa in September and we had the most fantastic holiday. The villa is exceptional and is beautifully appointed and has a very relaxed and homely feel to it which belies its size. The mature gardens and swimming pool were superb! Its location for us was perfect being set up in the hillside above town with beautiful views towards the sea but also close enough to essential amenities with a huge supermarket & the lovely village of La Napoule just 5 min drive away. We will definitely be returning whether it’s just the two of us or with a family or group of friends as the whole experience was extremely easy and relaxing which is what you want!

Great Villa with feel-good character!

This place really offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday! We are a German family with 2 kids who love to explore new places in either Spain, Italy or France during the summer. Last summer we decided to rent this gorgeous villa in Mandelieu La Napoule. Every single room has its own charme and feel-good character. We did not need all of the rooms (its a huge place) but the kinds loved the downstairs area! We didn't miss a thing during our 10 days stay at the Villa. The kitchen as well as all other rooms are well-equipped. We started the day with a lovely breakfast on the peaceful terrace with an amazing view of the mediterranean sea. The kids loved to play in and around the pool and we spend most of the time down there. Since it was our first time in Mandelieu La Napoule we didn't know much about the area. But the owners of the place were super friendly and gave us a few recommendations of restaurants, bars, golf clubs and other activities. A huge supermarket (Geant) is very closeby (2mins by car) where we got everything we needed for bbq and lunch by the pool.

Very comfortable, superb pool, great location

My family and I spent a wonderful week at this villa just before school term restarted. It could not have been better, and we could not recommend it more highly. It's in a fabulous location, very comfortable, stylish and immaculate throughout. The air conditioning was a wonderful bonus especially for my husband who doesn't really like the heat. We had breakfast outside on the terrace every morning and lunch by the pool. It all felt very luxurious. There is an outside kitchen which is great for barbecues. We are hoping to return in Summer 17 and would thoroughly recommend.

Stunning property with traditional & mod character

My family and I stayed at this Villa last year, its absolutely beautiful. Has its own private entrance, plenty of space for cars, just about 20 to 30 mins from Nice Airport. Each bedroom is beautifully decorated with traditional french character, but with modern touches, in the en-suites. The pool is stunning, with an outdoor kitchen for al fresco dining. Sitting outside on the terrace in the morning for breakfast you could have your lunch with a stunning view of ocean in the distance. You are completely secluded in your own bubble, surrounded by a mature garden. The agent was extremely helpful too, and showed us the ropes. It's only a short 5 min trip in the car or a 15 minute walk to the local super market, which had absolutely everything you could need. We would completely recommend this villa. We are a traditional english family and I think that definitely shows in the Villa which is full of beautiful antiques and we believe that our holiday home should be a real home from home.

We are a traditional english family and I think that definitely shows in the Villa which is full of beautiful antiques and we believe that our holiday home should be a real home from home. rented this Villa from its previous owners for 10 years. When the owner, who we got to know quite well, called to say that sadly he was going to sell the Villa and that we might not be able to have our regular summer holiday at the Villa - my husband said to me that we simply had to buy it as 'it was his sanctuary !' We bought it and then proceeded to update it with the things that we felt it needed. Keeping its traditional feel but updating all the bathrooms, putting Air conditioning in the bedrooms as well as planting lots more colour in the garden and adding the summer kitchen. As I have said it really is a home from home and we hope that those who go love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

We hope you love the Villa Esterella as much as we do as it has so many unique benefits. It has high ceilings inside, arched balconies, view of the sea and sits on a hill so benefits from raised views, but is accessible to local amenities, When we bought it we felt it had to be totally renovated but still keep the charm that we loved. It needed some loving time (and money!) spent on it and so we put in new bathrooms through out, air conditioning to all the bedrooms, completely renovated the whole villa including the outside summer kitchen. We have kept its traditional feel, including antique furniture and hand painted curtains, but updated life's creature comforts with new beds, furniture, new outside furniture both by the pool and also on the breakfast terrace and seating area outside the Sitting Room.

We also updated all the lighting so now the pool and garden fully light up at night and its just wonderful. We have two terraces outside the Villa. One is arched and has a seating area and many a night has been spent sitting chatting, and playing cards. We also have a large breakfast terrace which has a view over the bay of Cannes and in peak season you can often see the fireworks of Cannes or La Napoule.

The pool has a roman end - which basically means it has an arched end with steps down it. This is fantastic for just chilling and cooling off in the pool but also great for teaching the children to swim.

At the end of the pool is a Gazebo where long lunches tend to happen! The summer kitchen is opposite and we have tried to make our life easier as it has a full service of glasses, plates and cutlery. Also an American fridge/freezer, weber BBQ and built in traditional BBQ but also a Dishwasher and sink!!!!

We had my husbands 50th at the Villa and it was magical. We had drinks on the terrace followed by dinner and dancing by the pool.
We have also had several weddings at the Villa which were magical (venue rates are applied).
