About this property
Restored Casita · Big Views · Walk to Plaza
One room, designed that way.
Living and sleeping share one room, with no wall or door between them. The bed is a custom queen, built by a Santa Fe carpenter, that folds up into a full desk by day, on the same mattress we use in one of our hotels. A high-end queen sofa bed pulls out for a third guest. Vigas, skylights and a wood-burning kiva fireplace belong to every corner of it.
The kitchen. Gas range and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, blender and kettle, on restored original wood countertops under a window with some of the best views in the house. Two refrigerators: an undercounter one in the kitchen and a full-size one by the pantry. Keurig with pods, and a French press if you bring grounds. The pantry holds your groceries and the extras we keep stocked.
The dining table works for dinner and as a second desk, and there is a printer.
The bath. A full tub with a shower, robes hanging and ready. The white cabinet behind the bathroom door holds toiletries and the everyday essentials Santa Fe makes you want. Through the bathroom is a walk-in closet with hanging space, luggage stands, an iron and extra sheets.
The deck. Large, private and coyote-fenced, facing downtown and the mountains, with a dining table, a grill, string lights and a second wood-burning kiva fireplace. It sits beside one neighbor's deck, with a fence and a gate between. Best seat in the house at sunset.
The garage. Two cars, with a door straight into the casita. The opening is 8 feet 9 inches.
Comfort. Two mini-splits heat and cool, with baseboard heat by the bed for cold nights. Wi-Fi that tests over 450 Mbps, a streaming TV, and a washer and dryer of your own.
Good to know. There is no separate bedroom. If you need a door that closes, this is not your place, and we would rather say so now. It is a 1937 building, so there are steps and floors at different heights. Quiet hours are 10:30 PM to 7 AM.

We love the place, just right size for us, host thought everything and most of all the views and convenience to everything. Seriously looking into booking same place for next year Host very accommodating and quick to respond
Paseo Retreat is a super, nice place. I’ve been to Santa Fe many times and the home is in a great location and nice neighborhood. I always want some outdoor space and Paseo Retreat has two nice outdoor seating areas. The home is very clean and has a fully outfitted kitchen and the bathroom is quite modern and nice. The host is a good communicator and a trustworthy host. We really enjoyed our stay.
This was one of the best VRBOs we've ever stayed at. The host was very accommodating and even had a christmas tree ready when we arrived. We would have stayed 2 more weeks if we had the time. Next time we'll have to take advantage of the roof deck and fire place. Thanks so much.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Andrew's place for 3 nights and loved it! Especially the outdoor/indoor firepit made it so cozy and the host did not spare any expense when it comes to equipping the apartment. Anything you could possibly want. Also, Andrew gave us tons of great recommendations and went above and beyond with his communication! We really appreciate it and will definitely be back next time :-)
Cozy spot with great deck/fireplaces and location!
Loved staying here! Very clean and well stocked - nice towels, sheets/blankets, kitchen items, firewood, etc.
Very cozy, unique spot! We enjoyed the indoor fireplace,, as well as, the outdoor one on the spacious deck overlooking downtown - just beautiful! Cute little kitchen/eating nook w/ everything we needed! The location for walking downtown was perfect. Also appreciated the garage! Great value for the $$. Don't let the murphy bed worry you - very comfy! We would definitely stay here again!!
