Beautiful homebase for exploring Kauai

The oceanfront penthouse had every amenity we needed. The views were amazing and the central location made it a great midway point for exploring. Will definitely book again next time we visit the garden isle.

VERY NICE CLASSY CONDO

Very nice lst class. I would have liked to have seen more security, some not so nice looking street people on the beach obviously homelessBeverage service at the pool would have been great. Kids loved the slides hard to keep them out of the pool. My one request would be chairs in the bedrooms and a clock.. Small details ,we hated to leave l week is not enough in Hawaii.

Great view and wonderful stay

This property was as described - amazing ocean views, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of room for a family of three. The pool was clean and much larger than expected. Oasis at the beach restaurant was excellent, we had dinner there twice! The place was conveniently located to grocery store, coffee and many restaurants as well as 30-45 minute drive to north and south shores and only 5-7 minutes to a wonderful beach park. Highly recommend!

Family vacation my husband and our youngest children Plenty of room for the four of us Pull out couch was comfortable The email containing the hospitality app did work and our parking pass was two days short of our actual check out date Otherwise everything was wonderful! The room appeared to be clean but saw a giant cockroach scurrying across the floor of this “luxury penthouse” we rented. The closet safe locked with our valuables inside before we could enter a code. Had to waste several hours in our room waiting for maintenance to come to open it. Also, found out the hard way that since this unit is a VRBO type rental, the resort maintenance does not provide service so we had to wait for the off-site maintenance to show up. The resort itself was extremely understaffed. No one at the front desk for 2 days in a row. Just a handwritten sign saying that no one would be available due to staffing issues and a phone # to call which is just a recording instructing you to leave a message. Very little services/amenities at resort. No food, drinks, snacks, etc. not even a vending machine! Even the place to get pool towels was usually not open or had sign stating they would be back shortly. Huge disappointment for what we thought we were renting for a hefty price.

An Oceanfront Paradise!

We absolutely loved our week at this condo. This is one of those places you want to keep coming back to! The big picture: * The views were spectacular from every room! * This is a beautiful resort in a good location, with the airport 20 minutes away, and a Safeway plus multiple restaurants and stores directly facing the resort * You can rent bikes for $25 at the spa; we recommend riding north; the incredible bikeway passes some gorgeous beaches and overlooks where you can spot whales * You have easy access to the resort areas south (Poipu) and north (Hanalei, Princeville), both are about 40 minutes away; Waimea Canyon is 1 hour 15 minutes away More good stuff: * The kitchen generally was well-stocked (minus some key basics, see below) * The main TV was large with excellent access to satellite TV (DirecTV) and all the key streaming services (Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Apple TV, Prime, etc.) * Both bedrooms also had TVs and satellite/streaming * This truly is an oceanfront property. You can literally walk from the front door to the beach in about a minute. The pool is equally as close. * The pool is beautiful, large, and well-designed, with two fun, short waterslides plus a “lazy river” * The resort is quiet and family-friendly Now, the not-so-good stuff: * The pool area lacks any food options or bar. The Oasis restaurant doesn’t open until 3 and it is separate from the pool * The kitchen was missing some key basics like tupperware, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and napkins. * Lighting in the dining area and living room is poor; there is no lighting directly above the dining area * We had a substantial leak in the shower of the en suite bathroom in the extra bedroom; the drip was annoying at night * Compounding the leak, the vents in that bathroom did not work, so the humidity really built up. During our stay, mold began growing around the rim of the tub, which we had to wipe away every day * Poor response by the property managers. We called twice to have someone come out to look at the leak. Both times they said they would send someone the next day. They never did. Granted, it was a holiday week so we understand that staffing was challenging. But if we were the property owners, we would want that leak/mold problem fixed ASAP Even with some drawbacks, this property is spectacular. We loved our stay and we hope to return soon!

Wonderful condo in an ideal location. The wrap around lanai provided hours of calm, peaceful, ocean viewing. More exciting activities were just minutes away, e.g., snorkeling, riding waves, and, even a zip line adventure. We thank the owner for making their place available. It set the standard for future stays in Kauai.

The view was amazing as the pictures show, but the whole property needs a refresh. The smell in the hallway is horrible. The master bedroom has paper thin shades on the windows. The light was so bright all night from the lights on the property right next door it made it hard to fall asleep and when the sun came up it was too bright to fall back asleep.The slides in the pool were a hit, and the kids loved that and the sand area in pool was fun. Not a ton of chairs with shade at the pool.

Kauai getaway

We enjoyed the property. It is right on the beach as advertised. The 2nd story pent house has no one above you so there is no noise from early risers above you. Well stocked. The deck chairs on the beach side of the deck need a little help. The loungers off the master are much better but they face a building not the beach. Over all we loved the stay and would stay there again.

Waipouli Beach Resort A207

A lovely property with panoramic views of the beach and ocean. Large lanai also facing the ocean with room for outside dining. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped. We had some issues with a broken stove, clogged drains and a missing screen door in the master bedroom. The management folks were very responsive. We would stay here again.
