Beautiful Lakefront Home with Amazing Lake Views. Dog Friendly!

This lake front charmer is steps across the level lawn from the lake. Located at the end of a quiet road, this two bedroom two bath home sleeps 4 privately or six semi-privately. First floor offers a tranquil open concept living/dining area with expansive lake views and gas fireplace for cozy evenings. A well stocked kitchen provides everything needed for the cook, including a gas stove and dishwasher. First floor bedroom offers a full sized bed and living area contains a full sized pull out. Second floor bedroom also contains a full sized bed as well as a full sized sleeper sofa and a generous en suite bath. Lakeside, there is a deck with outdoor seating for dining. Conveniences include central air, washer/dryer, multiple HDTV, WiFi, Fax/Copy, Optimum wireless internet and cable.
Located directly across from the Main Lake Market, our western exposure fills the house with light all day. Dock space is included with access to deep lake water while close to shore is a sandy swimming area for the little ones. A kayak, canoe, rowboat and paddle board are made available for your use. A variety of life jackets in different sizes are also available for your use. Local marinas offer boat rentals by the day, week or longer. The lake itself is great for both sailing as well as skiing with quiet coves for exploring by kayak or paddle board. Early mornings are dominated by fishermen slowing trolling by. Sundays begin with a sailboat race which you can take in from the deck and antique Chris-Craft sometimes parade by. You may also enjoy great lakefront dining options, ice cream or mini golf by boat.
The natural beauty of the lake includes swans, herons and even bald eagle sightings. Most days end with truly breathtaking sunsets over Halsey Island.

We had a great time with friends and fishing! My son caught 20 fish! The space was great and clean and had everything we needed. The sunsets are gorgeous and we are looking forward to booking again.

Great Lake View!

A lovely clean, comfortable cottage with a fantastic lake view. The kitchen had really good pots and pans and a great stove/oven, perfect for preparing family meals. The beds were comfy and being able to use the house kayak was very nice. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing views

The views from the dock and back porch were spectacular! We enjoyed the use of a paddle board and kayak from the home. The house was very clean and had plenty of towels/linens for us to use. Would recommend for 2 couples or a family of 4. We were visiting family in the area and would definitely stay again. Located in a quiet and convenient area to restaurants and other lake activities.

Great host and great place!!

Our host, Celeste, was extremely helpful and answered any questions immediately. The house was immaculately clean , a very convenient location and an amazing view from inside and out. The house has a beautiful deck overlooking the lake. There are kayaks etc for use and everything is very well kept. Another convenience is the washer and dryer. We have stayed in many places but this one was exceptional in many ways. I highly recommend staying in this home.

We spent a lovely time, bringing in the New Year in this cozy and comfortable house that is set right on the lake with a all windowed . dining area overlooking the lake. We ate breakfast every morning with the graceful swans, framing the picturesque view. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals and the beds and linens were top quality and very comfortable. No matter the season, this house on the lake will entreat you to return

Beautiful, clean house with large deck overlooking the lake. Watch the sunsets from the deck or from the dining room’s large windows. Perfect views. Totally enjoyed our stay. Everything was just right for us.

House was perfect for my wife, me, and our dog. Very clean and beautiful hang out on the deck. Water in the lake was lower than normal but not an issue at all. Children and grandchildren stopped by a couple times. They all loved it! Nice place and last house on the road. Probably going to see about renting next summer.

Top Notch!!!!

We rented this home on Lake Hopactong because the home allowed for our dog to come along. This home was absolutely lovely!! It was at the end of a quiet street and directly on the lake. We had beautiful views from many of the windows in the house as well as a spacious outdoor deck directly overlooking the lake. The host was amazing and answered all of our questions quickly and efficiently. This home is a true neighborhood gem that we would love to come back to rent again!

Lovely Lakefront Cottage

If you would like a relaxing getaway, with a beautiful view, this is the cottage for you! From beginning to end, Celeste is a wonderful host. She is quick to answer any questions and makes you feel like her home is "your home". The kitchen is well equipped and linens & towels are organized to make things easier for her guests. My family and I grilled, fished, laughed and enjoyed the spectacular lake view. We saw swans, ducks, rowing teams and colorful Fall trees. Thank you, Celeste, for your hospitality. This perfect house is an absolute dream. Fully equipped with everything you might need, accommodating layout that's so comfortable—very, very easy to love. Comfortable Cottage with Beautiful Lake Views

We loved our stay in this clean, tastefully renovated, well stocked, open and comfortable lake house right on the water with beautiful lake views from the large deck or right from inside the house. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and provides guests with so many amenities! We had lots of rain during our stay but still had a good time relaxing by the gas fireplace watching movies or playing some of the board games provided. We liked the location of the cottage as it was the last house at the dead end. Plenty of grassy area for my dog too. After the rainfall, the sound of water flowing down a stream into the lake was a bonus! We enjoyed watching the group of swans everyday too. Hope to stay again sometime as we didn’t get a chance to use the many boats provided.

Very nice home on crowded lake.

This is a very welcoming home that is well-looked after, with great access to the largest lake in NJ. We loved the fireplace and the excellent showers. All indoors is quite clean and there is plenty of room to spread out. A very nice back deck. The kitchen is very tight confines, but has everything and is sparkling clean. The lake views are brilliant. There is a hidden gem right next door–a hiking trail that is clean and wide. We wish we would have known of it on day one, because walking the dog on the neighborhood streets is a downer. The street is narrow, there are no sidewalks, and its not clean. Overall this is an over-crowded destination with many busy boats on the lake, and neighbors tight up against you, easy to hear their activities in detail. Therefore three stars for the location. The host is excellent.
