My family had a wonderful Christmas at this house. Shauna and the owner went above and beyond to accomodate us. The house was also beautifully decorated for the holidays. Nothing could beat that view! The drive up is not ideal for someone who gets car sick but once you are there, it is definetely worth it.
You cannot beat the ocean views and the sound of the ocean waves from this secluded property!! It was our favorite part of our family trip (5 adults). We only used the main house and found it to be cozy and well stocked (everything from soap and toilet paper to pots/ pans and dishes). The beds were comfy and each one had it's own en suite bathroom, which felt luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time together in the large livingroom and dining room, as every seat was comfortable and had clear views outside. There is also a loft upstairs with more couches and seating areas if groups wanted to spread out, but we found the downstairs to be more than adequate to meet our needs. Our only disappointment was the grounds weren't kept up for the outdoor activities (path to the beach was overgrown and blocked and the putting green and bocce ball court are full of weeds) but our host, Danika, said she would look into it for the next guests. The front door is a bit tricky to open but Danika's notes are really helpful, so just make sure to read them twice or give her a call and she'll help over the phone. If you're looking for recommendations, she genuinely was happy to help. Surf Market in town was a great place to get groceries and Gualala Point Beach was windy but worth it to check out. Both are only a 5-10 minute drive from the home, if you're looking to get away. Note: If you bring children, make sure you keep an eye on them and mind the warnings. The property is on a cliff.
