Step into an Oasis of style, comfort and privacy in the heart of this most charming wine country.

Perhaps the most ideal location in the Willamette Valley for couples, families and friends visiting Wine Country. Inspired by award winning designer Kim Morris of Morris Design, Inc., Carlton Gates is unlike any accommodation in the area.
Not remotely situated, Carlton Gates is in the middle of everything yet secluded from everyone. Within walking (or biking!) distance of charming downtown Carlton's many Tasting Rooms and new Swimming Pool while still centrally located to area Wineries and Scenic Vineyards.

Featuring a spacious kitchen with large island and gas fireplace for guests to gather round that opens to the Great Room where good company continues among friends. Have an elegant dinner together in the dining room with built in buffet and then move outdoors to enjoy two patio areas each with their own firepit. Feeling contemplative?....take a stroll around the back courtyard or enjoy a bottle of wine in the corner Adirondack Settee under a Blue Spruce.

If your group wants to enjoy a movie in the theater, it will feel like their own private screening with a 70 inch screen and surround sound. When it's time for bed, you can go your separate ways into two Master Suites, Guest Bedroom and Second Guest Bedroom. Two additional guests are accommodated on a comfy pullout sofa sleeper in the theater. The Two Master Suites and First Guest Bedroom each have their own outside private sitting area with bistro table and chairs.

Great home base for exploring

A group of friends spent two nights here enjoying the space and the solitude. This is an excellent house for 4-6 individuals or couples. 4 nice rooms and a couple of couches if you need them. The kitchen is fantastic—nice cruiser bikes to explore the town and very nice furnishings for a relaxing experience.

Fabulous House, As Always

My group has stayed here three times. I think that should demonstrate how wonderful it is. The layout, the decor, the kitchen, the location, the outdoor space, the host…I could go on - everything is exceptionally well done and executed. Our stay was great, as always. I’m sure we will be booking it again!

Beautiful Property-well maintained

We loved our stay in Carlton. The house was perfect, clean, spacious, well equipped. We cooked thanksgiving dinner and only needed to bring the food. The kitchen was totally stocked with tools, cook ware, etc. The bedrooms were well maintained. Everything worked. We did not need to contact the host during our stay. We all came in from other places and would love to stay at this property again.

Wonderful home in wine country

We truly enjoyed our stay at Carlton Gates! It's a clean, thoughtful home that is perfect for hosting a large group or family. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. The owners thought through every detail and it shows. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

The Best Rental Ever!

Beautiful...and best equipt rental ever! More kitchen tools than we have at home! Excellent design for a large group of eight. We served a (pre wedding) breakfast to 24 guests with no problem! Would recommend for any special occasion.

Four of us took our first trip to Oregon wine country. We had a fantastic trip. We were impressed with the incredible scenery from the time we left Portland. The home was exactly as the listing showed. It was comfortable and roomy. The location was perfect. We walked into town daily for meals. We will be back.

Wonderful home!

We held a board retreat at this home and it was perfect! Plenty of space, large dining room table, great kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, and the landscaping outside is wonderful. We had a great stay and highly recommend. Everything was perfect!

Gorgeous!

Stayed here with extended family during our son’s wedding weekend @ Ghost Hill Cellars. The house is gorgeous and accurately described in the listing. Perfect location for easy access to Main St. in Carlton (walking distance). Melissa was very pleasant to coordinate with and was quick to respond to all our requests prior to the weekend. We could not have asked for more. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Property

The property is gorgeous and was super-clean when we arrived. The Dining & Living rooms are very large, if dimly lit, & the couch in the Living Room is really comfy. The foosball corner is a bit cramped. The Master by the garage is large & has its own thermostat, and the Dining Room has a separate wall heater; the rest of the house is on the central heat/air unit. The Master beside the driveway is HUGE! The bedroom across the hall is small and has just a small closet, while the "front" bedroom has a closet & a built-in dresser, so more storage than the other one. The kitchen has lots of plates & bowls, as well as spices that others have left behind (check before you go shopping). Food prep utensils (measuring cups & spoons, for example) were hit-and-miss - though there were three pizza cutters! The electric Jenn-Air oven & cooktop gave us some trouble (it took a long time for the water to boil on the triple-burner, and an instruction manual for the oven would have been a great help), as did the stainless steel pans (which my son uses at his home, but these seemed to stick a lot). You should probably know that your pet can't roam free (no fence on 2 sides of the yard), the Theater Room can't be darkened (it's open to other rooms), and, as of July 27 (when we left), there were zero Blu-ray or DVD players, so we couldn't play the videos we brought, which was quite disappointing; nor was there a video or music library. Overall a great place, just not quite as listed.

Great House For Large Group

We love this house! The space is perfect for large groups. The kitchen is the natural gathering space, as is the living room. The gas fireplace is perfect. Each room offers private space when needed. The location is great. I can’t say enough about the house.

Carlton in July

Carlton Gates is a wonderful home. Our family had plenty of space to be together and privacy if wanted. Plenty of room in kitchen for cooking together and bbq outside. Carlton downtown is a short walk for dining, wine tasting, shopping. We have already booked for next year!

Peaceful and stunning

Everyone that stayed with us agreed that this house was perfect for a large group of family. The bedrooms were amazing, many with their own outside spaces and bathrooms. The open areas were great for many small gatherings. The outdoor space was private and gorgeous. When you drive up to the house it can be misleading as it does not look as large as it is, but once inside you are in a private escape. Also easy to walk to downtown. The host even let me drop off a cake early so it wouldn’t sit in the car during our daughter’s college graduation.
