Maison familiale

Le gîte est une grande maison campagnarde au calme avec un très grand jardin. Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable à 2 familles (11 personnes) sans avoir l’impression d’être « les uns sur les autres », ce qui était précieux. Ce gîte de campagne a aussi les défauts de ses qualités (mobilier un peu ancien, débit de l’eau limité quand les 3 douches fonctionnent en même temps), mais il a un indéniable cachet que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.

Excellent séjour !

Location conforme à l’annonce et même au-delà. Maison très spacieuse, confortable et chaleureuse idéalement située au milieu d’un vaste parc (plages à 15km). Belle piscine à partager avec les résidents du château. Le cadre entourant la piscine est très agréable, faisant parti du domaine. Tout est calme et reposant. Nous sommes une famille de 7 (grands parents, enfants et petits enfants) et le séjour a plu chacun. Nous y reviendrons bien volontiers !

His wife, Catherine de Bretagne is a graduate of the Beaux Arts in Paris and has a long experience of art teaching. In September, she organizes in the Chateau one-week painting courses for all-levels.

Why they chose this property

This cottage house La Bajonnière is part of a lovely family owned property.
In 1873, Charles de Bretagne marries Gabrielle de la Bajonnière and inherits the Property of La Bijoire in Vendée.
He decides to demolish the old dwelling in order to build, in two years, a new one, flemish style, just like the one of his ancestors. The property has remained in the family for four generations.

What makes this property unique

The Vendée is a pleasant area with a mild sunny climate that offers many cultural, entertainment and sport activities and discoveries, for all ages.
In a fourty-hectare parc, this independent house for rent with a view on the Castle, which can house 10 people and the Castle, which.
The swimming pool is located in the charming complex of dependancies built before the castle, in 1855. The chapel, of the same period, completes this beautiful overview.
