About this property

Hale Manulele near Hanalei

Enjoy our private home in a family friendly, quiet neighborhood on the North Shore of Kaua`i, where the trade winds breeze across the lanai and through the family size house , where bird songs fill the air, and the cloud shows, mountain views with waterfalls, rainbows, sunrises, sunsets and albatross entertain you. Make yourself an espresso, stroll the garden and pick whatever fruit is ripe, cut some flowers to arrange, cook in the well equipped kitchen, and relax.
We just corrected some fee settings on our listing to remove some fees and have added a 7% discount for a whole month booking.
You are welcome to cut flowers and pick some ripe fruit to enjoy. Take only what you need; USDA rules preclude taking any back home. We share our fruit with our neighbors and guests and hope to enjoy some ourselves when we visit. Use the fruit picker pole to get fruit you can`t reach. Do NOT climb the trees to get fruit.
Do not crowd the albatross. Keep little children under control around the albatross.
No smoking. No pets. Please DO NOT FEED THE CHICKENS -they are obnoxious and destructive though beautiful to look at.

About the host

Brad and Barbara live most of the year in Alaska but like to come to Hawaii any change they get. We fell in love with the mountain views and the albatross that nest on our street.

Why they chose this property

Between November and August there are nesting/mating/flirting albatross in our two block radius. It is a quiet neighborhood with families and children are always welcome.

What makes this property unique

This is not just a rental property. We come here often ourselves because we love the island and the neighbors and the lifestyle
