The cabin was in a quiet area although close to the road. The house was roomy and everything needed which made for an enjoyable stay. Lots of things to do close by!We had a great time!
Great communication with host, who was quick to respond. House is amazing. Clean, well appointed, kitchen had all we needed for family dinners, beds were comfy, great location, and plenty of space for our group. Only wish our stay was longer.
It was thoughtfully decorated and very well supplied. Warm and welcoming. The appliances and provisions were of high quality. We loved the outdoor shower and would have used the fire pit outside, but it was too hot! We were thankful for the AC units. The house was very clean and the beds and furniture were comfortable. We loved the location and that it was near Stewarts where we could charge our EV car easily, as well as several shops. We brought two dogs and the setting was great for them; big enough yard, etc., and they settled in quickly.
Great stay in Keene! We loved the well stocked kitchen and enjoyed the fireplaces on cold winder nights. Also, fun to discover the hidden room behind the bookcase. Thanks for having us!
We stayed here for a very special ADK weekend where my husband, son, and nephew were finishing their final High Peaks to become 46ers, and this beautiful old farmhouse was the perfect home base for the celebration. It was definitely a splurge for us, but we were so glad we chose it. The house is an absolute gem: beautifully updated and renovated while preserving all the quirks, character, and charm of an old home. It was incredibly comfortable and full of thoughtful touches; plenty of towels and toiletries, coffee, a s’mores bar for the outdoor firepit, great WiFi and smart TV, and a genuinely well-appointed kitchen.I especially loved being able to bring our dog, and the location in Keene was excellent. Being able to walk to the bakery in the morning for coffee with the dog was an unexpected bonus.Stephanie (our hostess) was fantastic. Our plans kept shifting and our guest count changed several times between five and six adults, and she was consistently accommodating, understanding, and easy to communicate with.On our first evening, before the hikers arrived the next morning, my sister-in-law, my nephew’s girlfriend, and I stayed up late enjoying a bottle wine in this wonderful old house. It was such a lovely start to a memorable weekend... we would absolutely stay here again.
