You have the whole unit to yourself. There is a second floor unit and there is a small unit out front where the owner lives in the summer. Close to Wal Mart, gas stations, markets and right off Highway 99. Close to Gulf Courses, Raystown Lake and Blue Knob Ski Resort. Like Trains? Take a ride on the Hollidaysburg Train and visit the Train memorial building in Altoona.

If you have used the pool, please remove all items from pool when exiting the pool
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Absolutely no smoking in the unit.. When using the swimming pool, if there are any children age of 17 and under, they must have adult supervision.
No loud noise after 11 PM.

I was looking for a quiet getaway, and that’s exactly what I got. The host is incredibly kind and helpful. The area was secluded and quiet. I heard some fire trucks, but not much traffic. Zero noise from other building tenants. It has a nice deck to relax on, and a clean pool.

The property was very nice and clean. We were provided with ample towels and bed linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with pans, appliances and dinnerware. There were numerous k-pods for tea, hot chocolate and coffee. Teresa was very prompt in responding to all my questions and was always courteous. Only small issue that I found was the lights need to be changed out. It is a little dim. Other than that, it was great.

Great stay

Great stay. Had one minor hiccup with the facility but the host was extremely responsive and arrived quickly to remedy the situation. Host was also very helpful and offered great suggestions on the area. Would gladly stay here again and recommend to everyone.

This property was perfect for our needs while visiting family in Altoona. The host was extremely prompt with replies to any questions. Everything was as described in the listing. Very clean and comfortable. Window unit AC did an excellent job with cooling. Access to the pool was a nice feature. We only had an opportunity to use it once during our 4 day stay, but the owner kept in clean and ready daily. Only negative is that one bathroom is a bit limiting when there are multiple families staying in the house. But still an excellent place to stay!

Great weekend stay

This was a great place to stay. Very close to freeway to go sightseeing. Very close to shopping and a couple restaurants. The kitchen was setup very nicely for our our cooking. The property manager was very polite and helpful in answering any and all question I had before during and after the stay.

Quiet Pit Stop

We just stayed overnight to break up our trip to see family. My husband said they had the best towels out of every place we've stayed. And the hot cocoas were a nice touch.

Great little getaway

This was the perfect place to stay if you want to be close to everything but have some great Mountain View! The host was very understanding when I had some unexpected news on my travel accommodating my stay and having the house ready a day early and on a holiday. This will definitely be a place I stay again when I’m in need.

Spotless

We were so glad to find something close so we could visit family in Roaring Springs and Altoona. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. Especially loved all of the Keurig choices. Was not able to check in online, but the owner was so helpful! Would definitely stay again.

Hello, this is Teresa the host of country comfort. I have owned this property for 40 years. I raised my three daughters here and there are many memories. I love Sharing the space with traveling people Since my daughters have moved on. Thank you for considering Country Comfort.

Why they chose this property

When I got married in 1984 I moved into this home and rented it. 2 years later the landlord was selling it so my husband at the time and I purchased it.
Since then I have been here in this neighborhood for 40 years. Raised my 3daughters here. There are A few neighbors, but everybody pretty much keeps to themselves unless someone needs help with something. It is a quiet neighborhood.. Enjoy your stay.

What makes this property unique

I believe the country setting with views here is cozy and comfortable. It’s very relaxing to sit on the back porch or to take a stroll through the yard.
