We stayed in the main house which has 2 bedrooms with doors. The other 2 beds are not located in rooms but it was not an issue. The kitchen is open to the living room and dining space. All the decor was lovely and fun! Lots of amenities. Most important has coffee maker and grinder!!! Will def. Stay there again!
Our large family group (of 4) stayed in four of the rental units at Talkeetna Eastside Cabins. The kids enjoyed being in their own cozy, unique places. All of the units were clean and pleasantly better than advertised. If we are ever in the Talkeetna area again, regardless of the group size, we will return here.
We loved it. Close to town, lots of sleeping space and a very cute eclectic decor. Perfect kitchen. So nice to have a washer and dryer. By far the best thing was the notebook of activities, places to see, things to see, etc. Perfect for visitors wanting to see as much as possible.
We enjoyed our stay. We could walk to downtown, which was great, since parking is limited. This was a good fit for the 3 of us. Our teenage son took the upstairs and we took the downstairs Queen bed. The stairs to the upstairs are narrow and we didn't feel like hauling our suitcases up there. The Queen bed on the Main floor is not an actual bedroom so space is limited. For one night passing through Talkeetna, it was a great place for the price. We agreed we would stay there again. The place was clean and the beds average. Minimal kitchen ware but we were not planning on cooking for the short time we stayed. Loved the Guest book.... so much information!
We were a little confused about the location of the property and wandered around a bit with suitcases in tow from the railroad before finding it. It is about a 10 minute walk to the middle of town, and to the the railroad. The rooms were on the small side but comfortable. Kitchen and living room are full size and homey. We loved the mosaic decor.
Our family really enjoyed staying at this property. It was very roomy and everyone had their own room and bed. The beds were nice and very comfortable. The location was extremely quiet and relaxing. You could walk to Talkeetna from here. We saw a mother and baby moose in the yard one evening! I thought the house was very clean and the kitchen has all the basics for cooking meals. We really liked this house.
Rolled in late afternoon for a quick overnight on our way to Denali. Worked just fine for us our group of 5 ladies. Beds average and configuration funky passing through bedrooms to get to the bathrooms but for a group of close friends it wasn’t a problem. Bring your eye mask for sensitive sleepers as there are no blackout blinds to help you sleep during the midnight sun. Location was awesome as only a .5 walk to town. If you are looking for a minimal place to crash as you pass through, this is your spot. Easy in and out and communications great.
We spent two nights here with four adults and two kiddos. Two of the “bedrooms” are not totally private, but everyone was very comfortable. We brought bikes for the short trip into town. Thanks for a fun place to stay!
This cottage is adorable and the perfect place to stay in if you are visiting Talkeenta. We had planned on flying over Denali but the weather did not work out well but we are so happy to be able to experience the town and this cottage made that perfect!
Nice place, good location, as described. They only thing I feel needs to be improved is they need a full size washer and dryer. The tiny stackable unit doesn't spin the clothes very well and thus the tiny 110 volt dryer takes forever to dry a load of clothes. Wasn't a big deal we did just 1 load and waited until our next rental for the rest.
The cabin was so cute and super close to downtown Talkeetna. (The host even left a great binder to help us find a short cut!) It was well stocked with the essentials and very clean.
Sweet little modern cabin unit perched high on a ridge. Was not difficult at all to drive up to with a small RAV 4 SUV. Great sheets and towels is always a welcome touch. Spotless. The mini fridge, microwave and kettle with tea supplies met our breakfast needs perfectly. We supplied our own bowls and spoons. Simple cellular shades on the lower level. Lots of windows helped keep the temperature of the loft comfortable without needing the a/c. We were totally happy.
