It was a great location, right next door to boat rentals with a mostly private beach access. At one point a group of people drove through the property to get to the beach, and then we had a bunch of men that were didn’t know show one night with tents and camped out in the grass by the barn. This was very unexpected and uncomfortable because there was only a rope between the yard around the house and the grass around the barn, no privacy fence or anything. We enjoyed the large kitchen. There was plenty of room for everyone to gather during meal times. And the garage space was great for crafts and eating outside with the doors up. We didn’t have hot water when we arrived. We got ahold of the host and they sent out a plumber that night which resolved the issue quickly. The dryer had issues the whole time and someone looked at it but never resolved the issue. It kept having a “no power” error code and would shut off. It would have been very helpful with 25 people in the house to have access to a full laundry room. It also would have been nice to have enough towels for everyone, some bathrooms didn’t have any. And the showers need to have full soap and shampoo bottles in a house that big, there were just small single use soap and shampoo. The kids loved hanging out in the basement and bonus room. It would have been fun if there was a game cupboard, but they played a lot of chess. Also loved the mini golf and outdoor toys.
