It is a place to sleep

If you are looking for an inexpensive place near north beach, then this fits the bill. Anything beyond that I cannot recommend. We also missed the one line in the description which says there is a common/shared living area and kitchen. To us the pictures (and video found on another page) look as if it is a one bedroom with couches and table. Know that it is a shared common area with three single bedrooms around its perimeter (each has its own bath) on the second floor. It is spartan and outdated but basically clean (it is swept and they do clean your room every few days). It does have good AC and does a decent job of keeping sound out (Friday and Saturday night the nearby bars are loud til about 11 but other nights 9ish). We only used the kitchen one night, it is not very user friendly but it is functional. In short if you are on a budget and primarily just want a bed to sleep in,it's a doable choice. If you have a family and want to cook and/or hang out at night it's probably not for you.
