Owner was super responsive. The place was clean and well kept. Only issue is it said it had three beds but it only had two. The third "pull out bed" wasn't actually a pull out bed; so my friend just slept on top of the couch (no pull out bed).
House was very cute, cozy, and clean. Only complaint was that the internet didn't work on the televisions. It did work for any other device, so we just couldn't use those, but we were busy enough it wasn't a dealbreaker. Host was friendly and thorough with details.
Clean place, needs more information about location
Great place to stay, I loved the simplicity of the home, the communication with the host was great.i would say bring your own salt! Haha! One of the bedrooms had a weird smell, but it was clean. There is someone living in the backyard of the property. This made for an awkward entrance at one point when we were trying to pull in and they were in the way so we couldn't pull into the house. There was also some fireworks or something that was set off and it was a little weird. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, the location and the neighborhood was just a little sketchy.
Overall I give it 4 stars. But it would have been nice to know ahead of time that it is actually a duplex. So we were creeped out until the host explained this after I messaged her. You can’t tell because the other half is the back part of the house and it looks like one house in the front. The driveway/yard is also quite a pain to get in and out of but you can also park on the street where lots of other cars are parked.

We like the duplex BUT the internet is terrible which isnt really a big but even our phone data plans would not work. Big games this weekend and we had issues with tv reception. Could not get signed into our own Accts so we could watch our team play. And when we did get into some of the channels it was I. Zara A different language. We could not understand or read. Our plan wasn’t to go out but hangout with our son who is stationed in Oklahoma. Tried baking fries but no cookie sheet. Had to cook regroup to actually get food cooked. Tried contacting host about checking instruction and was told she doesn’t send until right before checkin. Contacted host before checkout for u strict on. And never got a response. So I hope we did everything that was expected without knowing. Last thing was cars kept turning around in the drive way. Not just a few but 10-15 and cars kept driving by slowly. It was a little unnerving. With all that said the duplex was nice and clean. Perfect for those who are local and there to watch Dallas or Texas play. Definitely needs a cookie sheet. We have fun with the cat who sat out on front porch.
Ok, But Not PrivateHouse was okay and in a very convenient location. But I would not have rented it if I knew it was a duplex with a shared driveway. (Host changed the description of the house after I had already paid in full and I was unable to cancel) The shared driveway was a little difficult to get in and out of, you basically have to pull right in front of the house so as not to block the other people. The front bedroom and living room only have sheer curtains and both face the street, so anyone can see into the house at night if you have your lights on. The kitchen has no curtains at all and faces the neighbors. The house is older, so the front door doesn’t open all the way because the floor is uneven and one of the bedroom doors wouldn’t close all the way. I also messaged the host starting two days before our arrival asking for the check in information. I messaged twice on VRBO and sent a text message to the cell number provided. The host never responded until after I contacted VRBO directly. She refused to give me the check in information until a half hour before scheduled check in. I’ve rented numerous times from VRBO all over the county and over seas and have always received check in info a few days prior, which is nice since we are usually traveling on the day of check in. It was just an added stress that was unnecessary. I would never rent from this host again.
The property is older but very well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has all the utinsels needed to cook meals. The bedrooms have ceiling fans. The area is quiet and great. The location was within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do. Would definately rent ago anytime we are in the area.

Interesting
Having read all the wonderful reviews for this property I was surprised by our experience. No one mentioned that you share this property with, what I’m guessing, is the owner. When we arrived (in the dark), there was a van in the driveway. We thought it strange. We then left to get food and the van was gone. Relief. But when we came back, the van pulled in behind us. I moved out of the way and they opened the gate and drove into the back yard. Again, weird. Our thought was, does someone live in the backyard? We locked up tight and slept fine and didn’t encounter anyone for another day. The windows into the back yard are fogged over so we couldn’t see what was up and there is no back door. And at this point.. ignorance is bliss. I did eventually hear people through the wall in the kitchen. So I think the house is split into two. I just would have appreciated knowing. We were there as a three generational group of females and wouldn’t have chosen this had we known. That being said.. the house is old.. but nice. They provided bath, laundry, and coffee supplies which I always appreciate. The property is listed as having a queen sofa pull out which if it’s there, we didn’t figure out. Which sucked since we had 4 people. Grandma, mom, and 2 teenagers. So the teens just slept on the couch. There was not a giant list of requests for checkout. Which is nice when paying a cleaning fee. We never once felt unsafe, just annoyed at the lack of transparency.
