Host communicated well up until the trip itself. Check in details were not provided at the promised time a few days before the stay was to start, then they gave an address that was not an actual building location and said there was an issue with damage to the room so we were not safe to stay there and recommended alternate apartments that did not accommodate our full party. We stayed only for one night as the accommodations were insufficient, then VRBOcare helped us to move into another place.

The room doesn’t exist. It’s a scam. Last minute they ‘upgraded’ us to a smaller Lower quality room that did not have the capacity for us causing some of us to have to sleep on the floor or book a hotel room. Just get a hotel room and don’t bother with short term lets in China

host is very responsive and friendly. they are eager to help which we appreciate. However, the listing address is not as listed. You will be placed to a different address when check in. After we asked for refund, we were upgraded to a nice apartment about 30 minutes away by metro. It all worked out at the end and the host group was nice and helpful, but you may not get the apartment as listed.

The VRBO description I rented indicated it was a 4-bedroom apartment. When we got there, it was only 3. The place is very sparsely furnished, and one dining room chair was broken when we got there. They appear to control the AC remotely. After the 3rd day, we called, and it all miraculously turned on. It has a kitchen, but don't plan on cooking; there's next to nothing to cook with, and only two gas burners. Only received the actual address and how to get in the morning we arrived, nothing like arriving from a 12 hour flight not knowing where you are going.
