For over a century Grand Isle, "The Cajun Bahamas" has been home to Louisiana's premier fishing resort community, and access to a rich range of fishing tournaments, fresh seafood, and public beaches. And located in the heart of this Louisiana fishing mecca on Louisiana's only inhabited barrier island is Sun & Sand Cabins. Featuring 6 cabins, each cabin has 2 private bedrooms, sleeps 6 people comfortably -- 2 full & 2 twin size beds in each cabin. Each cabin has a patio & picnic table, furnished kitchens with adjoining living area, full baths, central A.C./heat. We provide linen, but no towels.
Typically, our clients days are spent enjoying Gulf of Mexico's gentle surf or hiring an inland or coastal charter around Grand Isle's bays or coastal waters. If the open seas is not on your agenda, beach lovers and wade fishing enthusiasts find a virtual paradise on Grand Isle's public beaches. Regardless of your interests, you're sure to find plenty to do on Grand Isle.
The cabins are located one mile past the Grand Isle Bridge on Highway 1 to your left, across the highway from the beach.

The cabin was perfect for my son and I for our fishing weekend. Conveniently located and easy to find. Check in and check out was a breeze. Cabin was exactly as advertised and well priced. We could easily have had 2 more adults with us comfortably. Very clean and the AC worked great.
This place is adorable! Definitely going to come back with the kids. Cabin was very clean, accommodations are bare-bones but it was exactly as described. The hostess (Ms. Bonnie) was very friendly and moved us to a different unit due to some ongoing roadwork. We will be back!
Very small, would have been cramped with any more than our five people, but suited or needs perfectly! We had a great time and will definitely look at staying here again
Property was exactly as described. I would be concerned about having enough space to park if I had brought my boat trailer as the spaces are not very long, however. Great communication from owner.
The atmosphere was conducive to a relaxed anniversary celebration. The grounds were clean and quiet. We will return and have recommended the cabins as a great getaway.
This was a great stay, went during the off season and enjoyed every bit of it. The hosts were great, easy to reach, and the house was clean and just as described. 10/10 recommend!

Thank you so much for the great review. I love it when our customers enjoy their stay. That is what we strive for.
I took my wife fishing with me.... it was not a total loss, she liked the cabin, she loved the town, she didn't like watching me fish.... She said the cabin was cute and clean, was warm/cool enough, had plenty of hot water, and the beds were ok. I would stay there again, but the next time I go, I will definitely bring a seafood boiler and boil my own shrimp and crabs. The host was quick to text when the room was ready and when we left.
Older property, no extras. Bare necessities only. Don’t plan to cook nothing to cook with. If you just need a place to lay your head, it worked well for that. Only thing I can say is you heard everything happening outside and there was construction on new rentals right next-door that woke us up pretty early. Overall fine for just a place to stay for a day or two.

Thank you for your feedback—we appreciate you staying with us and sharing your experience.
We do want to clarify a couple of points for future guests. Each cabin is stocked with a basic pot set, utensils, and essential kitchen items, as outlined in the check-in email. We recently added a new pot set to the cabin and, upon inspection after your checkout, confirmed it was stored in the bottom cabinet. The check-in email also includes a list of recommended items to bring if you plan to cook larger meals during your stay. We keep things simple by design to ensure a clean, clutter-free space, and this approach also allows us to keep our pricing more affordable for our guests. We do not provide food items or pantry supplies (such as groceries or condiments), so we recommend reviewing the suggested items list ahead of arrival.
We’re sorry for the early morning disturbance. The activity next door is related to ongoing repairs from Hurricane Ida, not new construction, and unfortunately outside of our control.
We’re glad to hear the cabin met your needs for a short stay, and we hope to host you again in the future.
