3rd house to Stinson Beach surf break. beach chairs, toys, bocce ball, corn hole, coolers. views of both the ocean and Mt. Tam. fenced deck.
Very clean with updated central heating. sun-filled, and nicely decorated beach home with updated kitchen, Bosch stove, dw, full size fridge, blender, several decks to enjoy sun or shade when you are not on the beach.
Short walk to town grocery, restaurants, post office, library,kids park & ping pong and airstream food truck. Free EV charging stations at the end of the parking lot in the public park.
Upstairs, the cheerful, well-appointed kitchen has an eating counter and view and sounds of the ocean. Updated central heating and double pane windows make it cozy. Fireplace does not work - not available. Open floor plan of kitchen, living room and dining area, all with ocean views. The upstairs master bedroom with queen bed opens to an upper deck with eating table, chairs, new propane bbq grill and views of the ocean and hills.
The two bedrooms on the first floor share a full bath with access to the bath through the smaller bedroom. The larger bedroom with queen bed on the first floor opens to a rear garden deck, hot tub, and chaises. Master bedroom on top floor has ocean view and 2nd fl deck.
Kids welcome - graco pack and play with sheets in closet.
Sand Toys, bocce ball, cornhole, chairs, beach umbrella in front hall. Flat screen TVs in each room. Game chest on stair landing includes ocean bingo, rummikub, backgammon, monopoly, etc.
Sorry, no smoking and no large gatherings. max 6 people overnight and max 10 people day use. No rvs or campers. Fireplace decorative only. Parking for 2 cars parallel in drive. Other cars on arroyo. Short walk to town where you can rent surf boards and wet suits. Great library!
Wonderfully warm Outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach before hopping into the rear deck hot tub or relaxing on chaises under umbrella in back deck.
Super sunlit & clean, you will not want to leave!

Beautiful quiet stay steps from the ocean

The property is in a quiet space so close to the beach! It was perfect for our Easter weekend getaway. Mary was very kind and responsive!The house had all the amenities needed and you can walk to town where there was a great market and cafe. The area was quiet and peaceful even with many people on the beach.The house has great views from all sides with the beach on one side and the hills on the other.I would stay here again!

Long weekend

The house was very comfortable, clean, bright and convenient to the beach. We really enjoyed the views and some nice walks by the sea. Our interactions with the owner were very pleasant. Everything was easy.

Peaceful getaway

This property was the perfect place to hold our family for a relaxing, post holiday get away. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen convenient and well stocked. The views are even better than the photos suggest and beach access is perfect. I appreciate that our doggy was comfortable as well. Our host was attentive but not intrusive and easy to communicate with. Thanks for a great stay!

Great Location

The space is beautiful. Mary was great at communicating with us. The grill and the stove were difficult to cook with, everything seemed to only have one temp. Views are stunning with sunsets! We will be back

We had a great time at Mary’s place and enjoying beautiful Stinson and Bolinas! Loved being able to walk to the Parkside Cafe via the beach when the tide was low.

Wonderful to listen to the waves

And amazing to watch the whales! This house has gorgeous views of the ocean, very comfy furniture and a full kitchen and grill, making meals delicious and easy. The decks and yard are all well furnished, perfect for hanging out together or just lounging. The owners were available for any questions and went above and beyond with their help.

Family vacation by the beach

This house was perfect for our family of 2 grandparents, 2 adult parents, a grandchild, and uncle. It was spacious, well equipped, my favorite blue and white colors, comfortable furniture, and next to the beach. The communication with our host was terrific! You can see the waves from all western windows. We want to come back next summer!

Sweet stay by the beach

Our family of 6 (including 4 kids under 10) had a sweet weekend stay. The house is great location, has a nice nautical feel to it, and a very usable kitchen with everything needed to prepare a good meal. Mary is kind and very available. Enjoy!

A little bit of paradise

The entire experience from beginning to end was absolutely perfect. Coordinating with the owner, Mary was quick and extremely helpful, providing local knowledge and fun activities to do during our day. Stinson Beach is always beautiful anytime of the year and this weekend with girlfriends did not disappoint. we love the place so much that we can’t wait to come back next year! Perfect beach cottage

This beach house was just perfect for a getaway for my husband and myself. It was ideal for walking on the beach into town, and as a home base for local hikes. The sunny living room was great for afternoon naps with the windows open and the sound and sight of the ocean right there in front of us. The house was filled with beautiful art, which put me in the mood to do my own sketching. The neighborhood was tranquil and we had an amazing night sleep every night on the extremely comfortable mattress. Excellent communication with host from the time of booking through to the end of stay; that made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Truly, everything was ideal and I'd love to do it all over again!

A Piece of Heaven

How I love this beach home! This is the second time I have stayed here, and I know this is my home away from home when I am in the bay area. How comforting and peaceful it is to know that at the end of the day in town I can drive over the mountain and down to the beach and REST. I started each of my days with a walk on the stunning beach and ended my days watching the sun set over the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and I loved cooking myself delicious meals and then sitting out on the front deck and enjoying the view and sun shine. The hot tub in the back yard was also wonderful to relax in. I love the Stinson Beach Community....kindness and joy seems to permeate the air! Do not miss staying in this comfortable, beautiful home. The downstairs is perfect for a young family...

Beach Cottage to cozy with family.

We loved our stay at this sweet little abode. The color scheme and beach decorations/art just made it even better. The upstairs is the sweetest airest place, for the downstairs the air can be a bit stale, a separate little heater for the downstairs would have been nice as it cools off faster. Please know you walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom downstairs. This was no problem for us and our kids. We loved the cozy unique layout. We loved the fireplace after the great sunset you see off the deck and the closeness to the beach and Stinson. Overall this place is magical. It is a cottage guys, don't expect a 5 star hotel but do expect great communication from the owner and a very clean place to stay. Everything you need is there, honestly, even little kid shovels for the beach! So sweet. We would definitely stay here again and refer it to others.

Fabulous Beach Getaway!

My adult children, their significant others and I had a wonderful stay at this charming beach cottage. Just steps from the beach, we enjoyed several days of walks and playing with our pup in the sand. There was plenty of room for the five of us, though be aware that whomever stays in the larger downstairs bedroom has to go thru the smaller bedroom to access the bathroom and rest of the house. (It wasn’t an issue for us.) The house has many lovely amenities including hot tub, gas grill (though we had a problem with it which I brought to owner’s attention), TV in every bedroom and a well-stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, utensils and spices. The communal area was a great place to hang out with a couch, divan and two comfy chairs and nice sized dining table…perfect for lingering over dinner and doing puzzles. The kitchen is part of the space so everyone was able to be part of the action while cooking. Mary was extremely responsive before and during our stay, always replying within a short time. This was the perfect place to relax with family and friends. We never left the house (other than to walk on the beach) cuz it was so cozy. We will be back! ❤️

Beach getaway

To begin this review I want to say we had a fabulous time! I have taken my kids to Stinson for 9 years now and it continues to be our favorite getaway! I’ve stayed at other homes but this was our first time staying walking distance to the beach which was a huge plus!! To be able to just head out of the house and walk along the beach or take the boogie boards down and go boogie boarding was awesome! Being located two houses from the beach is lovely. The hot tub was also a luxury especially on cool evenings! We did not use the bbq but that is a great feature as well. The house does have stairs if that poses an issue for anyone and the downstairs is laid out a little weird. In order to access the bathroom you have to walk thru the smaller room. As far as negatives; the entire house needs to desperately have a deep clean. There was so much dust accumulated on the pot rack in the kitchen I was appalled. Many of the dishes were very dirty. The kitchen could be much better equipped. And the dishwasher works but is in very poor repair and should be replaced. The door falls open which could be a hazard for someone with small kids and the bottom rack does not roll in and out. The couch covers are in need of a good washing. The door to the front deck does not open unless considerable force is used. The deck boards on the downstairs patio/deck area present a trip hazard. When you’re paying $500 a night some of these things should not be issues. That being said the location is wonderful and the house is tastefully decorated and a great size. We would stay again. Thank you for your quick responses to my questions! We will be back next year!

Stinson Stay

Location was great, cute little deck on the second floor where we could enjoy the fresh air and ocean sounds at night, plus views during the day. We ended up not using the hot tub as we weren’t at the house as much as we thought we would be but it looked really clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed. Mary was wonderfully communicative, making things simple and relaxing. ☺️

We are so happy to have a place at Stinson 4 doors from the ocean to surf, boogie board and view and listen to the waves. Views of the mountains too. Lots of decks and outdoor fun. Painted Santorini white and blue (including the wood floors), it is super clean, minimalist design and comfortable with white duck Pottery Barn furniture. Great for kids and small dog. Warm Outdoor shower and hot tub. Short walk to town...enjoy the library (printer & scanner there), Parkside market (asiago & kalamata olive are our favorite breads baked daily) or Ahi Tuna at the Parkside snack shack. Rent bicycles, kayaks, surf boards, wet suits in town - steps away.

We love being this close to town - walk to the library, basketball court, hopscotch, children's play area, post office, bicycle rental and repair, small grocery, great restaurants. Quiet street - you will be asleep to the sound of the waves by 8!

What makes this property unique

Super clean & easy and almost at the beach end of a quiet street. So close to the ocean without the people walking on the beach looking in at us. Calm oasis with lots of natural light from 3 or 4 sides in each room upstairs. Lots of games, great tv, nice eating spaces inside and out. Two back decks with mountain views.
