About this property

3BR, 2.5BA Log Cabin, close to town , indoor hot tub.

Prepare to enjoy the natural beauty of Brown County in the log cabin known as the "Log Inn".

Nestled up on a wooded hill, a mere .6 of a mile from Nashville, Indiana, sits this beautiful log cabin with lots of room for cars. Park down below or up above the large parking area. Enter the ramp to one of the two entrances. One enters into the living room and one enters from the wrap around covered porch into the foyer.

On the main level is the oversized kitchen with a combined dining room and living room with wood burning fireplace and a half bath. There is also a spacious master suite with a California king bed and a master bath with a clawfoot tub and separate shower. From the master bedroom, you can enter into the sunroom where there is a large hot tub.

Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms, each with a queen bed and one with a trundle that has 2 singles. There is a full bathroom with a shower only. Also if some folks do not like to share rooms, there is also a spare queen in this loft area. The pool table on this level is sure to be the highlight of the vacation.

If you travel with your four-legged, extended family member, you’ll be happy to know that the Log Inn log cabin is dog-friendly for the well-behaved, small house-trained pooch. Please ask about bringing Spot along when you call to make your reservations. He’ll likely enjoy the weekend rendezvous just as much as you do.

There are numerous entertainment options in Brown County, so take your choice of outdoor pursuits, such as hiking, mountain biking, fishing, zip-lining, horseback riding, paintball and archery tag…to more leisurely adventures of visiting local artisans’ studios, shopping, dining, and performances of music and theater.

The cabin itself was large and had enough space for my family of six. However, we had to go off site to check in and get the information from a lockbox. The cabin had a musty smell. We also ended up with a flat tire in the driveway, and it took most of the day to resolve between calling a tow truck and driving to have the tire replaced. The property was nice and secluded, but the bathrooms had some issues with cleanliness. We expected more for the price.

Thank you for staying with us. We are sorry you had a flat tire, had to be frustrating. We always hope our guest would let us know while in our cabins if there is an issue, allowing us to rectify the issue, but we will let the cleaner know what you mentioned. We do hope you will book with us directly for your next visit.

Decent house

The house is accurately pictured: lots of room, open concept, inviting, and close to town with a nice pool table. There was a large bag of ice provided in the freezer which was appreciated. However the first night of our stay the power went out and stayed out for 7 hours from 6pm-1am and this house does not have an onsite generator. When I called the afterhours number, I was called back very quickly but the lady on the other end didn't have much compassion for the situation and inferred that this happens often in brown county with trees falling often on power lines. I'd hope that they plan to get a generator if that's the case. The bedroom upstairs with 2 beds wasn't awesome as one of the beds made A LOT of noise just turning over and woke the person in the other bed. We also found mold, potentially black mold, behind the bathtub in the downstairs bed/bath and a cockroach roaming around upstairs. I won't stay in this house again but it could be nice if it was cleaned up a bit and a generator was obtained.

We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your stay in spite of the power outage. We did not intend to lack compassion, but we have had storms weekly this year and as beautiful as our wonderful trees are, they do drop limbs on power lines when it storms and we do loose electricy when that happens. We will certainly get in touch with electric company serving this area to find out why it took 7 hours? Most the time we are out a couple of hours. We will let this owner know of your suggestion for the generator. Thank you for staying with us.
