The place is neat, clean and quiet. There are great sunset views. We were 4 adults but it can easily hold several more. Would strongly recommend.

Family Going West Trip

The location, view and house were great. You definitely need AWD or 4wd but it is worth it for the view. Close to Glacier National Park and convenient to Coulumbia Falls

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay in Pop’s place. Jeremy is very responsive to our inquiries. The place is safe and quiet. We love waking up in the morning with a beautiful sceneries of trees and mountains. We got everything that we need in his place.

Amazing place, view and experience.

We visited in the office season for a short getaway, now having seen this wonderful well kept home, now we'll have to be back in the spring. The view was magnificent and the home had everything a guest could want. Thank you to the host for a wonderful stay.

The Best Place to Stay!

My husband and I and two friends stayed here on our way to Glacier. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. This place is newly remodeled and extremely clean. It was comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed. The back porch had a beautiful view, and we saw a stunning sunset that night, along with a few deer. The owners are gracious and easy to work with. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again when in the area.

A lovely property and we enjoyed relaxing before heading into GNP for a four-day backpack adventure. We had a great dinner prepared on the blackstone grill and also cooked an amazing breakfast on it as well. Loved being out on the large deck with the beautiful views of the mountains. The kitchen was stocked with condiments, spices, etc, which was greatly appreciated. It was very quiet and peaceful, too! The rental was very clean and very comfortable, too. The owners were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them about their property and things to do. We were grateful for the use of bear spray and an extra sleeping bag for our back-country adventures. We also appreciated the little "store" for other essentials which may come in handy for visitors. We would recommend this as a great VRBO and would certainly rent again if we come back. Good stuff!!

A comfortable spot for those traveling without children

Pops house was charming and comfortable however, we we're disappointed to find the home is a shared space with the owners and additional guest living below the main house and it was not accommodating for those traveling with children. We arrived after a full day of travel and were messaged an hour in that we were too loud- this ruined our stay as I spent the remainder of the trip asking my two children to walk quietly, a skill children do not posses. I would not stay here again as the request to stay quiet did not feel like a relaxing vacation. The owner acknowledged my disappointment and offered a refund but there is no where else to go near glacier National park on short notice (we booked 9 mo in advance). We were told we could play around outside but there is not an ideal space to do so despite the home being on acreage. Lastly, the home is affordable because it is a shared home and they ask you to clean- not a draw back for everyone but a heads up.

About the host

Hosted by Danielle & Jeremy

Host profile image
Your hosts are Jeremy and Danielle! We are Pacific Northwest natives from Washington State. We love the outdoors, real estate and travel so hosting like-minded others in a beautiful mountain place just makes sense! Jeremy got his daughter, Ashlee, to all 50 states before her 18th birthday and Danielle has always had fanciful dreams of hosting campers and travelers from near and far in retirement years. In our spare time we ... oh wait, we don't have much spare time, but if we did, we'd spend it outside adventuring!

Why they chose this property

We chose the Flathead Valley because... it's the Last Best Place of course! Seriously, we searched for and dreamed of having a happy, humble space to host guests for years. We looked from Maine to Montana for somewhere near mountains where people could get away from it all to rest, relax, retreat or revive themselves, and still be close to civilization. This log home on a hill was neglected and languishing but full of so much potential. We both believe in restoration and redemption and so we knew, despite the work it would take, this was the place we'd been searching for. Columbia Falls has everything we wanted; it's close to great skiing, Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake and has glorious mountainscapes any direction you look. It was meant to be the place for us to prepare for you to enjoy! Come stay with us and experience its rustic charm for yourself.

What makes this property unique

Danielle's son Jake "Pops" Pospical was an outdoorsman, a hunter, a fisherman, a dad and a Marine burdened with the battles of life. The loss of Staff Sergeant Taylor Hoover on August 26th, 2021 stuck with him even after his honorable discharge. Other cares, concerns and struggles raged inside him. As we were finalizing the sale of our dream in Montana, he left this world. June 30th 2024 Pops passed on and our log home on the hill forever became Pops Place.

Always intended to be a place of peace and respite, now more than ever we want it to be a space for healing, hope and happiness. As we grow and develop the property, we plan to provide more cozy cabins and places for guests to recharge and refocus. We want to offer people a place to find peace with God, solace in the sunsets, where they can marvel at the majesty and natural beauty of land. This is a sacred space and may everyone who sets foot on this ground feel safe and leave feeling better for having visited.
