Fabulous beautiful property, very close to Chester restaurants, attractions, and shopping. Relaxing and comfortable. Also very convenient for travelling by car into NYC and other NJ towns (several major roadways nearby).
Great location! Chester has a quaint walkable Main Street with shopping and restaurants. The grounds here are stunning and we spent a great deal of time outdoors. Host was excellent.

Excellent property!! With all needed for relaxing stay Beautiful sorundings
We loved our stay. The location was perfect to visit family, the house was clean, bright, with a lot of windows, and close to shopping. The yard is amazing (park-like), and very relaxing to just sit and look at. We'll be back the next time we visit NJ.
My family, including our dog, needed to be in Chester, NJ for my son's wedding - but we had not foreseen the start of the World Cup AND the Knicks finals when the original wedding plans were made. What timing! This property provided the perfect refuge for us for the entire 5 days we were there. It was immaculately, sparkling clean inside and out. It was very peaceful and quiet and within walking distance to our wedding reception. The property had everything we needed for the various meals that we made on site. The house may appear somewhat small when you first pull into the driveway, but is extremely spacious inside, with many nooks that enabled each of us privacy and quiet when we needed it. And the yard must be seen to be believed. It is extremely large and incredibly beautifully landscaped, with multiple seating areas, including a small, beautifully appointed outbuilding. We did not use the wood-burning pizza oven, but we were certainly tempted. Our only regret is that we did not book an extra day to simply relax and enjoy this property. But with our new in-laws very close by, we hope to be frequent visitors. The host is also highly responsive and extremely helpful. We hope to be back soon.
No words to describe the feeling of peace in this well cared for home in Chester. My husband grew up in Chester. I wish we could keep this adorable home a secret. It’s the BEST place to stay if you’re visiting the area. We will be back. The view of the yard and overall grounds are serene and zen. We are grateful for this place!!!
We stayed here for three nights over Veterans Day weekend. It was my wife, our two dogs and I. We had a terrific time and were amazed by the huge fenced-in backyard. The landscaping was ridiculously cool. Our dogs were in heaven. The yard has
multiple areas to explore. Inside the house is a very well done open floor layout. We will absolutely return here. The location is convenient to any necessities and James is very prompt and helpful if you have any questions. This is a dream home for us. Our dogs enjoyed every inch of the two acres. Beautiful
did we multiple areas for exploration
We stayed here for 16 days in May 2025. We live locally, but we needed a place to stay while contractors repaired flood damage in our home. With everything going on at our own house, our nerves were pretty fried. Given our frazzled state, words fail to describe my gratitude for being able to stay at this home. The house is immaculate and extremely well-maintained. The gardens defy description. There were two acres of fenced-in yard for our dogs. The home and garden have several beautiful places to sit and enjoy the tranquility of the exquisitely designed landscape. Seriously, it's like a botanic garden. It's amazing. James - the host - is fantastic. Super responsive, accommodating, and helpful. Just the best. I would give this property 10,000 stars if I could.
