This cabin was in the perfect location. A short drive from kings beach and local shops. It felt like home, fully stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfy and the jacuzzi was a nice treat after a long day of exploring. We will definitely come back.
The Sunset Getaway gets everything right! The cabin is very cozy and the furniture and beds are so comfortable. The communication was excellent and check-in was a breeze. We walked in to a lovely fire going in the fireplace and everything was immaculate. The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the television set up...just hook up your computer and you are good to go. This is perhaps the best run property that I have ever stayed. We loved our time here.
We had a 3 night stay and it was such an easy check in process! Cabin was clean, had everything you’d need for the kitchen, and even toys around for my daughter to play with. Also, had really good communication with them. They even went out of their way to send a wedding binder back to us that we left behind. Super grateful. We really had a great experience and will definitely be back!
I would have given this an excellent review, but there were a few things that kept us from five stars across the board. The first was, when we arrived, a man saying he worked for the same property management company was gonna cut down trees behind our cabin and be there for a few hours. After talking with him, he decided he would come back after we checked out in a couple days, but feel that should’ve come from the rental company and had that scheduled at a different time instead of putting us in that weird position. A couple other issues were that several cabins right next-door to us were doing construction from morning until the evening, and we were not made aware ahead of time. Kind of frustrating when you’re trying to relax. The cabin was not stocked with any washcloths for showers, or cleaning. It took a day to get them to us because the management company does not answer any messages after 5 PM. Cabinet is great. Great location. Loved the size, the deck in the hot tub. Overall, very good, a couple issues if they did not exist, would’ve made it a much better vacation spot for a couple days for my family and I unwind before school started.

Response from Management on 16 October 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your kind words regarding the cabin's location, spacious layout, deck, and hot tub. We appreciate your high overall rating and are glad your family enjoyed those aspects of the property.
We also sincerely apologize for the issues that kept your stay from being seamless:
Vendor & Service Communication: We completely agree that scheduled tree maintenance or vendor visits should be coordinated seamlessly through us without putting guests in an awkward position. We are reviewing our vendor scheduling protocols to ensure work is never planned during guest reservations without prior notice.
Neighboring Construction: While activity on surrounding private properties is outside our direct control, we understand how unexpected noise impacts a relaxing getaway. We do our best to monitor local projects and inform guests ahead of time whenever we are aware of active work nearby.
Linen Supply & After-Hours Support: Missing washcloths should not happen, and we apologize for the delay in getting those to you. We are auditing our housekeeping inspections to ensure standard inventory is verified prior to check-in, and we are updating our guest messaging procedures to ensure urgent guest needs are addressed more promptly.
Thank you again for bringing these points to our attention. Your feedback helps us refine our guest experience, and we hope to welcome you back for an uninterrupted 5-star stay in the future!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
We like the location of the property, great area for walking. Nice front deck with table and chairs, and great hot tub. The house had some issues. No screens on the second floor and all three fans that took up space in that bedroom were broken. The house was promoted as having a chef's kitchen- the majority of the tableware and drinkware were cheap plastic- many cracked. Two dishtowels, no sponge. The fireplace was inoperable, we did receive a small discount for this inconvenience. This is a pet friendly house yet we were charged an extra cleaning fee for dog hair on a throw blanket. Throw blankets should be washed between guests.
Very nice neighborhood and great house. There was coffee in the cabinet and spices too, which was nice for cooking. There were dog bowls as well, which was great since we brought our dog. The hot tub was on, so we were able to use it right away. We liked the area very much and enjoyed the lake and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.
