Great location in downtown Salt Lake especially with a dog. Yes, there were homeless people outside but they didn’t bother us and the building itself was very secure. The host was responsive and helpful. Bed was comfy. It could use a deep clean however.

The property was not up to my cleanliness expectations. It had a great dog area right outside the patio door & was the perfect size for one person.

We checked in and immediately checked out. The area may have some homeless, but the drug users are all over the block this apartment is located in. Staying there with my daughter did not feel safe at all. The host was responsive when the keypad code on the door didn’t seem to work- turns out its just sensitive to the first button you touch. The apartment is nicely appointed, but definitely worn. The carpet in the bedroom was pretty dirty looking. Large laundry room and bathroom were nice. The parking is oddly separate from the apartment and you cannot get into the building from the parking garage using the garage key… so you have to walk outside, past the drug users and back into the building using the main entrance. After finally getting into the building walking past people behaving erratically multiple times to haul our stuff from the parking garage to the apartment we realized we did NOT want to stay there and left.

A deep clean is needed. There is a lot of dust in the vents, the filter/top of the coffee pot was moldy, and dishes were dirty that were taken out of the cabinet. Because of the electronic entry, the door locks precisely at the time indicated; no wiggle room. The host/service was accommodating to let us back in, though it was difficult to figure out how to call. Also, couldn’t get the check-in info without paying an extra fee.

The listing on VRBO is a total misrepresentation of this property. Access was difficult to say the least. Power was out to the building on arrival. Once power was restored (at dark) we finally got access to the apartment and garage. From the garage you have to walk around entire building from the garage to get into the building. We finally got into the apartment once we figured out the electronic lock. Timing for the lock is critical and works best if you just enter the combination twice. Once inside, we immediately noticed the entire apartment was filthy! Dirt and dust everywhere. In the exhaust ducts, vents, floorboards, floors, counter tops, tables, etc. Everywhere! Stains on the bed sheets along with several bugs. Damage to just about every surface of this apartment. Holes in walls and doors. Electrical wires exposed in bedroom ceiling. Ceiling fan trim had fallen down due to fan blade imbalance. Giant air intake in the bedroom right next to the bed where our heads were. That blower ran all night and sounded like a jet taking off. No sleep for either of us the entire night. Dirt and damage throughout the apartment. Found out the next day that this area is the worst part of SLC. Went out to walk the dogs. Homeless and transients were around the entry to the building and throughout the park across the street. Wedid not feel safe inside or outside of this apartment. Had the apartment rented for three days but checked out after the first night. Contacted Host for refund.
It was hard to get checked in. The instructions don't tell where to find the lock box. It tells you what to do after you find it but nor exactly how to get to where it is.
Very nice apartment and very pet friendly! It has a nice outdoor porch area and a convenient pet station within a few hundred feet of the outdoor porch. It was very convenient not to have to go down the elevator and onto the street every time the dogs needed to go out. The host is also amazing!
The room was clean and the AC worked great. We had dogs and it is a perfect spot for dogs with a pet area directly outside the sliding door. The building is across the street from a park with a dog park. The host was responsive and helpful. Funding the front door was a little tricky as Google maps took us 2 blocks away, but we found it. Everything was easy after a minute to figure out the building.
