About this property
Are you feeling like you’ve had a house fall on your plans? Are you being chased
Are you feeling like you’ve had a house fall on your plans? Are you being chased by flying monkeys? Are you being followed by the brainless, the heartless and the cowardly? Then you need to get off that yellow-brick highway! Come down the lane leading you to Oz house, where you will find rest and renewal amidst the woods.
From the moment you cross the bridge into the property, you know you’re not in Kansas anymore, or Arkansas or Texas or wherever you blew in from! This place is something special! A wide open porch calls you inside like Auntie Em’s arms and from the front door to the back, it’s all good!
The front door opens into a spacious living room, kitchen and breakfast area, all flowing together. The sweeping cathedral ceiling line draws your eye up into the trees that wrap all around Oz. The room seems larger, however, because of the immense covered porch that connects to the living area through two sliding glass doors.
The corner rock fireplace inside is mirrored by the corner rock fireplace outside and so is the comfort of the living area – warm and hospitable space inside, warm and hospitable space outside. Flanking the porch is the hot tub set strategically to enjoy both the fireplace and the stars. What a combination!
The fire pit is a little walk off the porch down by the tiny creek that runs along the side boundary of the property. If you are feeling adventurous, walk straight off the back of the property and enjoy the peace and beauty of nature in the Ozarks National Forest.
Wow! But that’s just one room and a trip outside! Let’s step back in Oz house and look around some more. The first of two Master Suites is located on the ground level just off the kitchen. It has a king bed and a private entrance that leads out to that porch and the hot tub. Head upstairs for the next level of Oz. At the top of the stairs is a video nook outfitted with flat-screen TV. The next two bedrooms are just off the video nook, both with private entrances and both furnished with king-sized beds. Each bedroom has its own toilet and sink area and shares a tub/shower.
“Oh, hey! What’s up there?”
“Where?”
“Is that another floor?!?”
Yes, it is!
Oz house is a three-story experience! Up one more level and you’re in the trees now! Big picture windows allow you to see the expanse of the forest and the beauty that surrounds Oz. The landing is actually a sleeping loft. Those raised panels on the wall unfold to reveal 4, count ‘em 4, twin beds! Just off this unique sleeping loft is the other Master Suite. Step inside, close the door and disappear from the world around you. This last bedroom is the marvel of it all and the cream on the top, literally! Two walls are completely windowed with panels of glass for a spectacular view from your treetop nest. A private bath “tops” off the experience of treetop living!
Now, let’s talk about beds. These aren’t just for looking at. These beds are for sleeping in! The mattresses were specially made just for Oz house, both the kings AND the twins. They are pillow-topped and built on orthopedically designed frames! Fall onto one and stay a while!
So, all totaled, Oz house sleeps 8 in king beds and 4 on twins for a Grand Count of 12 people, or as most report, 8 adults and 4 children. There’s no place like home-away-from-home! *Click*click*click the mouse and make your reservation! You’re welcome any time!
