A fantastic calm big house with a great lakeview!
Central in North Thailand to explore the rivers, mountains, neigbouring countries and the fantastic budhist hospitality in the north. Close to exitant cites, natural parks, views, silk production outlet, water fun, mountain areas and a lot more. The house is bilt with large rooms many baths and sleeping rooms and gives you feeling of being a king! It is built with modern interior and a large swimming pool. You are yourself on a 35 000 square feet property facing the lake. Cleaning, gardening and pool maintanse is included. Further discounts for longer stays!
Please note that the house is facing a temple that may cause some noise. Also there are speakers in the village used to address the local people in the morning, even on holidays. We have some sleeping rooms in the back of the house that is not so much disturbed by these speakers.

Very nice property out in the country away from all the hustle and bustle.
This property was amazing. We did not know what to expect based on where it was located and the price, but don’t let these items fool you. We will definitely stay here again next time we are nearby. The property is located in a small but friendly community surrounded by farm land. It is by far the largest “house” in the area and the pool was really appreciated when the temperature was in the 90-100 degree range. The caretaker made sure the pool and grounds were ready to enjoy everyday. The air conditioned house is set up perfectly for small groups of friends to share, a single family or a really large group. Our family of three stayed in two bedrooms with a common bathroom and had the rest of the house common areas to ourselves. The house is well maintained and ready for your enjoyment. Located about 4 1/2 hours north of Bangkok, we drove ourselves to this location. Once there, the driveway is gated and a nice garage is available to park in. In order to enjoy the area a car is recommended but I am sure there are car services nearby. About 30 minutes away is the town of Chaiyiphum with all the stores, banks, malls and conveniences. If you are looking for a comfortable location out in the country (with a pool) you should consider this location.

Was more than i couldve ever wished for. Was an absolute dream the last two weeks,,,we fell on love with the place and the area. No tourists just very friendly locals who always had a smile for you.
Loved it, will 100% book again.

A Dream
This wonderful house (castle - it is realy realy huge) has everything one wants for a nice and quite holiday. it is very clean, it is good equiped, the pool is big and clean, the area (you have lake view - a dream) is quit and very nice (a small Thai Village with a Wat) and the best thing is the contact with the owner Vidar (greetings from all of us) works perfect and very nice. This wasn´t the last time for us in this location. As for us (two kids and parents) it was very good to have a car at the place so one could do the shopping and sight seeing, but you also have local shops in the place for buying stuff or you ask the housekeeper or Vidar for transport. Everything works smoth and easy. Greetings again to Vidar and to everyone reading this: book it if you want to see Thailand like it is

Likely that we will rebook this property again!
We were welcomed by your family representatives. The stay did everything I wanted for our short stay. I could do my projects, play with my daughter/wife and have a wonderful stay. The village is so so friendly, I can speak Thai a little and drive all the time (I live in Khon Kaen...for around 6 years), I spoke, shopped, internet cafed alone sometime and enjoyed my time and experiences with the local community and your family and Mare Barn. The swimming pool was beautiful, and so much so, I incorporated it into my design project for my next business venture over here in Khon Kaen. The sunshield cover had been storm damaged and couldnt be erected, but daytime bathing over here is not recommended anyway.....hit the pool everyday around 6 in the evening !! Thanks again and likely that we will rebook this property to holiday with friends/family.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY
This is such a great place to stay,it has everything you will need.I found that everyone in the village was so nice and wanted us to join them in all that goes on there.You will need a car to get around.I stayed here for 3 weeks and i enjoyed every minute,i will definitely be staying here again.I highly recommend this property and would like to thank everyone for taking care of us.

Beautiful house
We rented the house for 2 weeks with 4 adults and 2 children. It is a big beautiful house with everything you need. It has a good size pool for swimming. It is great that the pool is covered by a kind of tent which makes it easier to enjoy the pool without getting a sunburn. It has a well equipped kitchen.
Because of the location you will need a car to do your grocery shopping or visit tourist attractions. It is not a touristy area this part of Thailand but that can also be seen as a good thing.
The house is maintained by an elderly Thai couple who are friendly and helpful however it is very difficult to communicate in English although they will do their very best. We could speak to them in Thai so that was easy.
All in all we had a great relaxing time and can definitely recommend this villa.

As the renter coments - having your own car is of great benefit. However I need to mention that it is possibloe to rent a car or a minibuss with driver at neighbour of the house. It is also easier to move around on the countryside if you have a Thai speaking person, but there are english speaking persons close to the house that can assist. To make things easier we plan to make a information map with information on places to visit, where to buy food, restaurants, renting a car or minibuss etc. I think this will help a lot as it is actually possible to take a bus from Bangkok to the house and get transport from the bus stop.
