About this property

Our Bavarian Chalet is designed for complete high-alpine comfort, with plenty of gear storage for your ski vacation.

Supremely functional, each unit includes three bedrooms, featuring two king beds and two twins which can also be bridged together to form another king bed, three bathrooms, and a powder room.

Each unit incorporates locally sourced materials, such as dead-standing timbers and locally inspired themes. The feature wall in the living room, timber framing, and stainless steel firebox cladding all recall the valley's mining tradition. Beginning in the mudroom, galvanized steel panels and baseboards are a feature throughout. A refined rusticity permeates the whole.

This chalet is perfect for a group or a large family to enjoy all of what Taos and the Taos Valley Ski area have to offer. The chalet also offers a gas fireplace and wireless internet and is within walking distance to ski lift #4. Guests are also a short walk from the Bavarian restaurant, one of the best in the Ski Valley!

Ski In/Out Weekend

Enjoyed a fun girls' ski weekend at the Bavarian Chalet #1. The property worked well for 5 of us, as we prepared our breakfast and dinner meals and had lunch on the mountain. The industrial chic decor suited the condo well (although the living room could be warmed up with an area rug). Loved being able to hop on Lift #4 right across from the property.

Nice clean place close to Lift # 4

A nice, clean place to stay for skiers as it’s adjacent to lift # 4 and only a short walk. The water heaters are in the kitchen and one unit is so loud it’s difficult to converse or listen to TV in the main living room. Something is clearly wrong, but host said there’s nothing that could be done. It affected water pressure in showers so you don’t have that strong water flow that’s nice to enjoy after a strenuous day of skiing. TVs don’t mirror phone so couldn’t watch streaming services. Bring food from Valley as the local stores are extremely limited.
