If you are in need of a place to stay close to New Orleans, in the Slidell area or even just over the Mississippi border for work or pleasure with all amenities furnished for your comfort, this may be the place for you. NOTE; ONLY AVAILABLE FOR LONGER TERM RENTALS. This luxurious condo awaits your arrival. A 3 bed/2 bath, 1500 sq ft condo with waterfront access literally at your back door. Comes with your own boat slip in the Marina. Offers 3 spacious sleeping areas. Master Bedroom with Kingsize bed downstairs, 2nd Bedroom with Queensize bed upstairs, and an extra large Daybed with trundle which sleeps 2 or more ( if they are children) in upstairs loft. Comfortably sleeps 6 people, but can accommodate more as there are also inflatable mattresses & large sofas for additional sleeping accommodations. Beautiful views of the bayou from the living room, upstairs loft, kitchen and dining room. Water access leads to Lake Ponchartrain after a lazy ride down a scenic bayou. Located only five minutes from the center of town, 20 minutes from casinos and beaches on the Gulf coast, 2 miles from renowned bicycle path Tammany Trace, 35 minutes to New Orleans and so much more. Swim, fish, crab off the pier right at your backdoor. If you come here , you will want to come back again and again. Excellent Location with the best of both worlds, peaceful serenity & proximity to everything!!!

Set the thermostat to off. Please lock all windows, draw drapes or blinds before leaving.

great place for family get together

Very clean, well-furnished rooms, comfortable beds. GREAT POOL. Hostess was very welcoming. Quiet location, very safe-feeling residential area. Kitchen had plenty of appliances, pots and pans, freezer full of ice (lots of hosts forget this, we usually end up buying it). Good grocery store couple of miles away. Lots to do on the Northshore. !

A big thumbs up!

Once again, the condo was everything we hoped it would be. This was our second time staying at this property and we were, as before, very happy with our visit. The condo is located in a nice neighborhood and is right on the bayou. The condo is tastefully decorated, very clean and well furnished. There is plenty of storage room and the washer and dryer is a huge plus. Most importantly, any and all concerns or issues we may have had were promptly addressed by the owner, Cynthia. She is very assessable and friendly, a pleasure to talk with. We were very comfortable and would highly recommend this property.

Slidell condo

I felt it could have been cleaner. Pots & pans were greasy & smelled of old oil, silverware trays were filthy, glasses had to be washed prior to use. I didn't use the bathroom glass but it toovwaa filthy. The humidity in Louisiana is probably partly to blame but with Covid it needed a throuough cleaning. The location was great! Very safe neighborhood conveniently located. Roaches were a problem but when I mentioned it a treatment must have been done as I saw no more. Overall, the space was great, just needs cleaning attentions.

Thank you for your frank comments. I’ve recently hired a new cleaning crew due to your comments. You are correct that the humidity in Louisiana plays a large part in those issues, especially insects. Unfortunately, roaches are a part of life in the Deep South and all that can be done is to kill them when they appear, which is usually when it’s hot and rainy. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

The owner was very accommodating for my situation, I sold my house and had to move within a few days. The house is not a true 3 bedroom and the laundry room is upstairs, after 5 knee surgeries I can’t do that many stairs so my son had to do the laundry. The dryer takes about 3 cycles to fully dry clothes. The air condition went out after the first night and the owner has a home warranty company that wasn’t coming for 5 days, thankfully my husband works in the industry and got it back up. No way I’m going 5 days in a hot house in Louisiana when it’s already summer. My 15 year old was threatened by neighbors with a lawsuit for throwing a practice (much softer) softball around outside, nowhere close to cars.

Great place for a long stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our three month stay. The condo is located in a safe, quiet and lovely neighborhood with convenient access to grocery stores and restaurants. The condo is quite roomy and we were very comfortable. Both bedrooms have nice large dressers and good sized closets to hang clothes and store luggage. We really enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the afternoon, watching fish jumping and birds and turtles swimming by. Cynthia, the owner, was always quick to get back to us if we had any questions. All in all, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Felt like home.😋

Our stay met all our expectations and more. It is located in a lovely, quiet and friendly neighborhood. Unfortunately we experienced unseasonably rainy and cool weather for much of our stay. Lots snd lots of rain! This really didn’t take away from the enjoyment of our visit. The condo is roomy and comfortable. It is very tastefully decorated snd really has everything you need. The king size bed in the master bedroom is wonderful. The neighborhood is nice to walk or ride your bike in and is in a convenient location to stores and restaurants. Cynthia, the owner was always accessible and accommodating if you had any questions. We would have liked more room for our belongings for our long stay. Perhaps a dresser or more closet space. However, this condo really felt like home to us and I would highly recommend it. We hope to be back! Definitely a thumbs up!

Just what I needed

I got an assignment to work in the area for several months, and this place was so much nicer than being in a hotel. The owners are great, and my expectations were met and often exceeded. Even with the pandemic and hurricanes, I was able to live and work normally.

We were very pleased with property, was very clean and was decorated nice. Was close o town and was convent to stores and restaurants. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching boats going by. Left three weeks early because of the virus, just needed to be home. But enjoyed our stay and would go again. The owner was very helpful and was quick to get back with us if we had a question.

I would easily stay at this home again! Beautiful layout, lots of space... Plenty of room outside to play with our grand kids!!! Owners are really nice & even took the time to give our two grandsons a boat ride !!!

Nice setting, but 2BR only

Overall, we had an ok stay at this condo. Pros: Beautiful waterfront setting, owner was welcoming and left us a king cake. Pretty good location for accessing downtown Slidell, although you have to wind through the neighborhood for quite a distance to get in and out. Cons: The 3rd "bedroom" is a loft with a twin daybed and no privacy. The sheets in this daybed had not been changed prior to our arrival. The water also had a very strong sulfur smell and we had to purchase bottled water to drink (though this is likely the situation throughout the city, for whoever is on the same water system).

Emily, Thanks for the review. I've adjusted my description to make it more clear that the 3rd bedroom is an open loft upstairs. I appreciate your constructive opinion but you are the first to have a problem with the setup. Not sure what happened with the sheets. The daybed is usually striped and has no sheets on it at all. I guess my cleaning person just missed it. My apologies but I hope you found fresh, clean sheets in the upstairs closet and used them. Thanks again for your business. Cynthia

Great home to rent!!!

We greatly enjoyed our stay!!! Would recommend that you let ppl know the open loft area is ok to sleep in or enjoy watchn movies but not good for couples wantn privacy bc there is another bedroom on the same floor level..also a iron and ironing board wouldve bn good. Other than that, this home will definitely b on our list to visit again!

nice and comfortable house in a quiet area

We had a great stay for Christmas holidays in Slidell for 7 nights. Cynthia is a friendly owner. She welcomed us with a walk through the house and had a welcome christmas cake for us. That house is perfect for families up to 6 persons or more with full equiped kitchen, dining room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room and a little terrasse goes down to the jetty. Quiet neighborhood. Closed to New Orleans. The only thing we missed was a vacuum to remove leaves and other dirt. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay. We'd like to come back.

We loved our little oasis away from New Orleans. Was peaceful, big enough, comfortable, close to venue where my son was married. The dock was wonderful. Lots of turtles and fish. Very nice neighbors too. If ever in area will come back.
