About this property

Rutland Rural Retreats - Woodpecker glamping pod, Adult only, super dog friendly

Rutland Rural Retreats has just 3, adult only, extremely dog friendly, beautiful en-suite, heated glamping units, all set off the beaten track in a secluded 4 acre meadow. On site there is a variety of local wildlife; horses and sheep as well but the latter purposely out of view of the meadow to allow reactive dogs to relax in their gardens undisturbed.

Each unit has its own enclosed garden area (1.2-1.5 meter high at WP; 1.5 meter high at BB; 1-1.5m at SR) for piece of mind when bring four legged loved ones. Woodpecker is the furthest of the 3 and ideal for more nervous or reactive paws.

All 3 have access to their own private hot tub, fire pit and alfresco dining areas where there are also sun loungers for guests to relax and unwind.

First and foremost we are animal lovers and love welcoming like minded souls.

With 3 rescue dogs ourselves, years of experience with nervous and reactive paws, we have designed RRR to try to provide a safe and tranquil environment so that paw parents can relax and enjoy holidays together too.

Having just 3 cabins spaced far apart is key to this, coupled with the large enclosed gardens so that paws can relax off lead.

Lots of additional touches are also provided for dogs in our attempt to make their stays as enjoyable as yours. Doggy tepees, sun loungers, toys, enrichment areas, ramps, paddling trays…..:& much more. We really do care about your paws. They are not just welcomed here, more celebrated as they should be 🩷
