Scenic, quite, comfortable

Bayside rental adds a lot to feeling of vacation time, waking up with water views and closing the day with sunsets. Enjoyed the deck for crabbing, dining, lounging, and watching the scenery - regattas, swans, bird life, sunsets, parade of passing boats, etc. Comfortable quirky accommodation. Great TV and wifi.

A lovely small get-away house on the bay

In a world of mega-mansions, this home is a small house with a back "yard" that ends on the bay - a shallow cement pad and a wooden deck/dock with room to tie up a smaller boat. The house itself is small - 3 smallish bedrooms and one bathroom - but the living room and kitchen are more than adequate for a party of 5 or 6 people - lots of room to cook and to sit around chatting. The property owner supplied a whole lot of great "extras" for shore visits - bicycles, lounges, beach umbrellas, etc. and was just a phone call away in the event of questions or problems. The neighborhood is small (it's actually on an island just off the main drag in Lavallette) and very quiet. Lots of boat and ski-doo traffic in the inlet at the back of the house and everyone waves! My only recommendation is that the owner add a small table and chairs to sit at inside the house. There is one on the back deck and there is a large kitchen island you can sit at to eat, but neither is conducive to working on a computer and I'm not a fan of sitting high with legs dangling. But, seriously, this is a tiny tiny complaint and probably wouldn't mean a thing to most people. This property is a great value!!!

Beautiful Property

What a wonderful place to stay and beautiful location! Close to everything, beach, restaurants, grocery stores etc. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful, it was just what our family needed, a nice relaxing vacation. We would definitely recommend this house and are looking forward to renting it out again next year!
