Location is everything and this house is perfectly located on the beachblock of Pennsylvania Ave! Perfect for families, this spacious home features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably, and has a wonderful backyard that is perfect for outdoor dinners, hanging by the chiminea or for families with little ones, a safe place to ride their trikes or bikes! This home is clean and well cared for and gives off beachy vibes needed for a great week at the beach!
There is also an additional full bathroom with shower outside for rinsing off all the sand from the beach!
Just updated the bedrooms, new living room furniture, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms and central air!
4 beach badges are also included.
Close to restaurants, the bay, shopping, grocery store and more!!
Many of our renters are repeat rentals and families that have been coming to Lavallette for decades. If you don’t know anything about the Jersey Shore, Lavallette is a family town between Seaside Park and Point Pleasant.

Family getaway

Enjoyed the stay at the house it was a perfect location right between the beach and the main avenue with good restaurants, ice cream shops, shopping and things for the kids to do. The backyard was great to relax in at night.

A wonderful time

For the second year in a row we stayed in this house. It’s clean, comfortable and roomy. Plenty of space for my whole family. New central air was a plus! We love the location. It’s close to the beach and there’s lots to do! My only complaint is the week ends too quickly!!

Good size house - feels like your grandparents beach house

This is a standalone house that comes with a very good size backyard. The bedrooms are each a nice size and the kitchen is well stocked with literally anything you need. I would recommend this house for large families (2 bathrooms were great!) that will spend the majority of the time at the beach or outside and can keep the windows open in nice and cool weather. The cons: the house could use some TLC when it comes to air filtration, meaning we had to clean every window unit filter and immediately opened all the windows and doors for several hours to help with the strong musty smell (likely due to the house being older, wooden frame and the sea water) that finally dissipated to a tolerable smell mid week. Unfortunately, the outdoor shower was covered in moss and also didn’t seem well ventilated so that wasn’t an option for us.

Thank you for your review. We do try to update things every year for our beach cottage, as it is an older home we don't promote nor want it to be a new cookie cutter modern house. We love the fun cool beachy vibe we have created and thankfully so do all the repeat renters we have. The two bedrooms upstairs were just repainted and new flooring as well as new bedding and decor. This fall/winter/spring we will be updating the kitchen and downstairs bedroom as well as putting in central ac and new heating (so no more window units, which we did clean at the beginning of every season!), and this will help with regulating the air flow in the house. Unfortunately you must have been there when there was substantial rain so with a sand basement that may have been the reason for any mustiness but we have never had any complaints and central air will alleviate any filtration issues. I have to say I am surprised with your assessment on the outdoor shower...we were there after your departure with friends and everyone used the outside shower and did not see any moss or anything. There is a ventilation spout on the one wall and also the door that you can leave open (unless using the toilet) since there is a shower curtain for privacy. And it is cleaned weekly by our cleaning lady.

Location!!

More spacious than it appears. Fully stocked kitchen and very comfortable furniture and beds. We loved the proximity to the beach especially for our grandchildren. Great host! Would definitely recommend

Good enough to get better

We did have a very nice time. However the house was not six houses from the beach. This needs to be corrected. It was more like 10 or 11. Even children noticed. However it was on ocean block. Also upstairs the air conditioners were loud and insufficient .

This actually saddens me to see you gave us a 3 star review for something that was never promised nor advertised! Nowhere in our listing do we say we are 6 houses from the beach! I clearly state we are beach block, meaning you don't have to cross a road to get to the beach. Our house is 10 houses from the beach, if you had asked I would have told you. AC units upstairs cool the rooms when you keep the bedroom doors closed. The one unit was just bought last year. I am very happy to see you at least had a very nice time!

A great place for a beach vacation!

We have enjoyed our summer vacations in the Lavallette and Ortley Beach area for years. This has been our 5th year staying at Cindy and Hugh’s house on Pennsylvania Avenue and it couldn’t be better. The location is close to the beach, the neighborhood is friendly and the house is everything we need for our family. We always look forward to returning every summer.

Great location

with small children and lots of stuff to carry to the beach, the location was key to a relaxing vacation. The layout worked really well for our family, I would suggest more seating, maybe bigger couches to accommodate everyone to watch a movie at the end of a long day at the beach.

Great house for family

We had a great time with three generations at the house. Being beachblock allowed us to get the kids up to the boardwalk easily. The kitchen was well stocked for a vacation rental(there were sharp knives!). The rooms were spacious and no one felt like they were on top of one another. We highly recommend.

Lovely Beach Home

This is a true Lavalette beach home With 4 Queen Beds 2 singles and pull out couch there was plenty of space for my family and guests. Bordwalk at the end of the street was perfect for my morning runs before hitting the beach. Plenty of parking we could fit 4 cars in the driveway plus plenty of street parking.

Very comfortable and roomy for 5 adults and three kids. A lot bigger than it appears in photos. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was a comfortable outdoor area. We liked the nautical decor. Although the ignition on the grill was not working we were able to manually ignite the grill. Also thought there would be a DVD player and had brought some dvds with us but that was not a big deal. All in all a really nice rental and great week in a very comfortable home.

Perfect family shore vacation.

We live in central PA and love the fact that we can get to Lavallette in less than a 5 hour drive! Growing up at the shore as a child, it was always a dream to have a house in Lavallette and we feel blessed that we do! My parents have a house a few doors up so we still get to hang at the shore when our cottage is rented!
