Our family rents properties often for special occasions. This property was one of the finest we ever stayed at! The home and land is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located on the mountain. The accommodations were stellar with all new high end appliances and beautiful bedrooms with walk in showers. The gas grill and pizza oven were used often and produced amazing pizza. We very much enjoyed the Newburyport/Plumb Island themed bed room as we are all from that area. Communication with the owners was outstanding. Thank you for sharing this wonderful home!

This rental was absolutely perfect for a group or large family get together! The house was immaculate, all the amenities offered were a huge treat, and the property was absolutely beautiful!Communication and check-in was incredibly simple with thorough directions to find the house. A detailed binder was included outlining how to use every feature of the house - from the hot tub, to the fire pit, and the pizza oven. The rooms were very large, there were ample towels stocked in every bathroom, and plenty of cooking supplies stocked in the luxurious kitchen. If you’re looking for a stay in this area, I would highly recommend! The house was so lovely we hardly wanted to leave.

We had a larger group going up skiing for a few days and this house was absolutely stunning with plenty of room to sleep and hang out. There was everything you could possibly need from cookware for meals and a lot of entertainment (we loved having the house wide speakers playing our favorite tunes!). I've had the chance to stay at many places up in northern Maine and I would 100% stay at this location again. Thank you for having us!

beautiful clean house, beds are very comfortable, only issues were every room has smoke detectors that have motion lights that illuminate every time you move, including rolling over in bed so bring eye cover if light bothers you. Also states you get 1 free bundle of fire wood. There was no fire wood. Other than that it was great

Better than Described

It is an excellent place for a large group of family and friends. The house was beautifully appointed and fully equipped, with no detail spared. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit for s'mores, the pizza oven, and the large gym. There is a lot of space for family bonding. The location is a short drive to the ski area. Highly recommend!

Family Vacation

We have been coming to Sunday River every year for the past 15 years. We have always stayed at a resort location on the mountain, but this time we were looking for a bit more space. This past week, we had the opportunity to stay at this location and it didn’t disappoint. Unreal first impression, accommodating, clean, all the tech, and a place where we could all relax. We are looking to return next year if possible. This home provided us an opportunity to enjoy our vacation and make more memories!

Five Star Ski Getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was by far the nicest home we have rented at Sunday River and we can’t wait to stay at Merrill Hill Hideaway again! Everything was top notch. Heated garage, enormous mudroom with cubbies, hooks and seats, beautiful kitchen with high end appliances and everything you might need, comfy beds, wrap around sofas in the living room and lower level, gas fireplace, nice big hot tub with plenty of towels, beautifully decorated. Just a quick drive to the slopes. The owners truly thought of everything. We loved everything about it!

Girls trip away

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of women takes two trips each year, and this was hands-down the best house we’ve ever rented. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect for a group getaway. The layout was ideal, and every detail was thoughtfully done. The ladies couldn’t stop raving about how comfortable the beds and pillows were—even the hair dryers were a hit! It’s clear the owners spared no expense in creating a luxurious, welcoming space. We absolutely loved everything about this home. Four Seasons was also a pleasure to work with—they told us we’d fall in love with this place, and they were absolutely right!

Outstanding Home - everything you didn’t know you needed !!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a phenomenal place. From the cleanliness to the really unique and classy furniture, to the hot tub, pizza oven and workout room- this place met all our needs. Enough space to commune together and be apart for quiet time (or workout time). Close to Bethel for good coffee and good eats - and to ski areas (though we visited in off season). Oh and I did mention the kitchen appliances !! Eco friendly composter (so quiet!!) and beer in tap. Just heavenly. Well worth it in every sense.

Ski weekend with family & friends

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home and a great location! So close to Sunday River..we even had the non skiers drop us off at The Jordan Hotel the second day to get us on the slopes even faster : ) Property was just as described. Plenty of room for all of us. So many amenities that we appreciated beyond the typical rental home. The use of the heated garage and the large mudroom to keep all of our boots, jackets, etc was a plus. The gym was amazing, the large hot tub was so nice after a day out, and towel warmers in the bathrooms was a bonus! The property manager was also so responsive and accommodating for any questions or requests we had. Thanks again for sharing your gorgeous home!

Guests can be assured of a 5 star stay at Merrill Hill, as evidenced by all other reviews. We are surprised to see less than a 5 star review from this guest especially considering we accommodated the early arrival and late departure requested by the group at no additional cost. Owners, managers, housekeeping and maintenance go above and beyond to ensure guest have 5 star experiences.
