Sunday River Lakefront Grand Cabin, Sleeps 20, Hot tub, fire pit, pets welcome
Sunday River is less than fifteen minutes away and Bethel is five minutes away. Enjoy the beauty of Songo Pond in the winter while staying at a classic timber framed Cabin located off a paved road. You can feel remote and cozy while not needing four wheel drive or being far away from town or skiing. You won’t feel cramped like in a condo, or be sharing a hot tub with anyone else. I enjoy the stars and the sun setting over the pond, while relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the mountain. Or if you choose not to go out, there are plenty of things to do at the house. It’s just as nice in the winter as it is in the summer at the Cabin. Summertime guests can look forward to Over 250’ of private waterfront on a gold dusted sparkling sandy bottom pond, dock, wild blueberry beach, hot tub, fire pit, 4000sq’ log cabin with 5 bedrooms and plenty of space to spread out or enjoy the company of a large get-together all on one property. Kayaks and paddle boards are on sight as well as all luxury linens, towels, firewood, games, central AC, and high speed wi-fi. There is a great room with a pool table, several lounging/hangout areas throughout the cabin, and a game room with ping pong, foosball, air hockey, darts, and a large comfy sectional and TV. Each room has a distinct style to suit multiple generations or tastes. Minutes from Bethel, Sunday River, Mt. Abrahams, biking and hiking trails. Access to walking trails on 1400 conservation acres is directly across from the driveway. Love blueberries, the property is covered in low and high bush wild Maine blueberries. Have a boat, bring it and tie up at the dock. This spacious cabin is situated directly waterfront on 3 acres with amenities for all ages.

Our family stayed at the Songo Cabin for a week in August 2025 and had an amazing experience from start to finish. Communication with Janna was excellent, from the moment we booked until the day we left. The cabin itself is gorgeous with a great layout, perfect for a large family or group of friends. We especially loved that it’s dog-friendly, so our pups could enjoy vacation with us too. There are plenty of spaces to gather together, as well as quiet spots for reading and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We’re a family that enjoys cooking, so we stayed in every night and had everything we could possibly want right at our fingertips. We also made great use of the kayaks and docks for swimming and cooling off during the record hot days in Maine. A wonderful bonus was the outdoor screen house, which became one of our favorite spots to spend time.Overall, we truly had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend the Songo Cabin enough!
This place was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need while on vacation. We enjoyed it so much and would love to return in the summer months!
The house was beautiful and clean. It had all the amenities one could need. The property outside was not to elderly nor young child friendly. Steep stairs with no railings to the dock and because of the time of year, June, that we visited, and high water levels, there was no beach area to wade in. Again though, the house itself, was huge, beautiful and spotlessly clean. Owner was pleasant and easy to communicate with, but had alot going on which lead to some time lapse and confusion.
We had a wonderful time! Janna’s house was perfect for our big family. Lots of room to spread out, activities to do and being close to the lake was perfect. The kids got to ice fish, build snow huts and ski at the local mountains. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could need and there were plenty of blankets.Janna was great to work with. Easy to connect with, answered all our questions and was very helpful. We highly recommend staying here!

House was perfect - plenty of beds and areas to hang out together. Very nice kitchen and big dining table. Lake was frozen (should have brought skates!) - but looks like a great place to stay summer or winter. 15 minutes to Sunday River.Janna was very responsive to any questions we had. Top notch accommodations!
This is a wonderful and spacious spot for a large group! There was plenty of space, the yard/firepit area is wonderful and the proximity to the pond is great!
We loved the remote location and all the amenities that came with the house!
As soon as we walked through the first floor we realized we needed to come back again and started planning. Our Girl Scout Troop made this our end of the year overnight adventure and we have to stay much longer next time! Kids and adults were mesmerized from the beginning and we had an absolute blast. The hot tub was glorious and the accommodations were fabulous and extremely thoughtful in every way. Anything you might have forgotten to bring was available and easy to find. Kitchen was well organized. Owner was amazing to plan with and help with my own fumbles and recommended a delicious pizza place that delivers (Pie Hole - yum!!)There were soooo many places to sleep and hang out, it was great for our group to explore and enjoy. I truly will book another stay ASAP with the troop for next year and for longer! Will also book a stay with family & friends. Thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing this gem of a location with us!!! Peace out, Girl Scout!
Excellent stay! beds are comfortable, kitchen is stocked, more room than 3 families with 7 children could use. Fun for hide and seek. :) Driveway was plowed after a snow storm, comfortable tables and couches, game room was the bomb, proximity to Sunday river was 12 min, and I could go on and on. I can only rave about this location.
One of the best rental properties we have ever stayed at. The property is in great condition and would be great for all ages. Janna, the host was extremely helpful and resourceful. With out a doubt will return to this property.
The owners have thought of everything your large group could need for a wonderful Maine lake vacation…and then some! So much to do in the house and on the lake. All toys provided. Kitchen stocked with all the supplies to cook for the group. Our gang of teens and adults had the most wonderful week and can’t recommend this place enough. Enjoy!
We had a group of 10 adults, 3 kids and 3 dogs. This house worked out great for us. Loved the hot tub after skiing. Game room with ping pong, hockey, fooseball tables was a huge bonus. Definitely recommend!
House was just as described. Very clean and close to mountain for skiing. Weather wasn’t great but we still had fun walking some local trails, having pool tournaments, and chilling in the hot tub. Plenty of towels and I especially loved the extra throws and blankets for the many couches. We were between 12 and 14 guests for the stay and there was more than enough room and beds for everyone, I would definitely stay again. Also communication with owner for a couple of questions were answered promptly.
What a gem this house was. We skied multiple days, only 15 minutes to Sunday River. The house was perfect for 3 families to spread out with a game room down stairs for the kids and a living room upstairs with a pool table for the adults. Pond was frozen, next time we will bring ice skates. Jaccuzzi was wonderful after long days skiing. House was clean and had everything we needed. Overall a great stay.
This was our 14th year renting a cabin in NH or ME with my in-laws (10 people total). We splurged this year and got this beautiful home. It was perfect for us but my MIL and FIL weren’t able to make it bc my MIL was hospitalized. We were heartbroken to have only been able to stay for half the week. It was so hard leaving. I especially loved the two chairs in the screened porch near the hot tub (I read a lot in that spot). The hot tub was perfect, as was the game room and pool table. The water was serene. The owner was responsive and kind.
This place was perfect for my large group ski trip to Sunday river. The mountain was only 15 minutes away. We had 14 people and everyone slept comfortably. There was plenty of towels, blankets, and linens for everyone. There’s plenty of activities at the house including several tvs, a pool table, ping pong, and of course the hot tub. The host was very communicative as well. Overall I would highly recommend. We are already talking about coming back over the summer or next winter! Thanks again!
Was very nice except for one room appeared to have not been vacuumed and found some trash under furniture. Internet not working when we arrived but remedied by midday the next day.
