Walking distance to anything in Lone Pine you could want/need, easy parking, quiet street, quaint little place, and 30 min from the trailhead for Whitney Portal (currently Whitney portal road is closed and has a detour). Fantastic place to recover for a night after the grueling summit journey too. Really enjoyed our stay!
Beautiful downtown feelings. Everything necessary is easily accessible like grocery store, fuel, restaurants etc. The place is clean, safety and Close to Death valley. It is in front of Lone Pine Fire department.
Property was very clean and met all of our needs. Bed was comfortable and my son reported the futon was comfortable as well (thick mattress on it). Kitchen had everything we needed. Right in Lone Pine with groceries and restaurants nearby. We used it as a jump off point for a day in Death Valley. I would recommend this property! Thank you for the stay!
The house was clean, comfortable, well equipped and a perfect location for exploring Lone Pine. We could walk to everything in town. Only hiccup was dealing with the lock box which I found very challenging and was grateful that one of our party was savvy about various steps and after several attempts able to maneuver it to open.
Cabin was super clean and well stocked. I stayed for two nights to get acclimated before climbing Mt. Whitney. It’s centrally located and cozy.

This property suited what I needed for my visit to Death Valley because it was convenient. The view of Mt Whitney was beautiful too. I really appreciated the quietness and cleanliness as well.

Good location in Lone Pine, quiet and nice to have onsite washer and dryer.
Perfect for our visit to lone pine to hike Whitney. We felt so fortunate to have stumbled on this little gem. It was well provisioned with all the essentials (and some nice additional touches) to make our stay comfortable, and the location can’t be beat. Will definitely hope to stay again next time we visit.
House is in a great location to walk to anything in town! Not to far from Whitney portal about a 30 min drive due to a detour. (But the detour is a beautiful drive). Shower was hot and comfy bed!
If you are fishing your way up or down 395 this place is exactly what ya need and nothing more. You can cook your catch and do your laundry, then walk around the corner to a fun saloon all before melting into a comfy bed. Next morning hit Alabama Hills Cafe and Bakery. Would/will stay again
