The cabin was great. Location was ideal for us as we had a wedding to attend in Glenville. It was easy access to hiking in the area and it was perfect for us and our dog. We would definitely rent again.
Great place to enjoy a quiet and comfortable family getaway. Kids (12, 10, and 5) loved having the creek and horses across the street. Perfect cabin to relax in and great location to enjoy Cashiers and the Highlands if you want to venture out.
We had the most wonderful weekend staying here! The house is tucked away in a beautiful, serene setting that felt incredibly peaceful and relaxing. We especially loved the little creek in the back yard it added so much charm to the property. The horses and donkeys across the street were an added bonus! The location was perfect, conveniently situated between Cashiers and Highlands, making it easy to explore both areas while still enjoying a quiet mountain retreat.Overall, this was one of our favorite trips, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We highly recommend it and would absolutely love to return!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the cabin! Please come back again soon :)
The property is a bit too rustic. One set of the stairs on the front porch are slippery and unsafe. The house is cute and well furnished. I didn’t realize the stairs inside would be so narrow and the upstairs rooms so small. The bathrooms are tiny.My biggest problem: ants. Big ants. I told the host and nothing was done for my 3 night stay. There were other problems too. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

I’m delighted to hear that you found the house well-furnished! Since you reported the ant problem, I promptly contacted my pest control company to treat the cabin. Unfortunately, they couldn’t arrive on the weekend. The slippery step on the front porch will certainly be dealt with. Thank you for reporting it! The cabin is indeed charming, built a century ago by my great grandfather. Thank you for taking the time to review the property.

What makes this property unique
This cabin was originally built by my great grandfather and has been in the family since 1928. A WWI vet, he was the owner of the Jackson Hardware store until the mid 40's and was a pillar of the community. His character and the legacy he left show in craftsmanship of the cabin. My father, a retired judge from NC, renovated the cabin from it's very rustic original design and created the warm and cozy atmosphere you will experience when you visit. It's full of antiques and unique touches that make it a step back in time, but with all the modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable!
