This property was excellent, immaculate, and luxurious! The hallway to the suite was heavenly appointed. As soon as you walk into the suite you are greeting by beautifully appointed accommodations with plenty of room to relax in the common space all set with automatic fireplace! The balcony is quaint but perfect for having a cup of coffee or evening cocktail watching the Midway world go by.The town is so sweet and very friendly. You are surrounded with gorgeous views of the mountain surrounding you. Each bedroom is beautifully appointed with luxurious accommodations and so comfortable. I was trying to figure out a way that we could stay there forever, but my husband and I have not figured it out yet!Would recommend 1000%.Great job owners!
This property is located in a great spot for getting to things easily in Midway. The furnishing were nice. The real complaint was that it said that it had a kitchenette which is a far stretch. I assumed that there would be ways to cook more than a microwave and coffee makers. The fridge was good sized. There was plug in hot plate, not toaster or toaster oven, but the pans to cook in were not very good (everything stuck no matter how much oil you used) and the unit said that it could hold 6 people but there was only silverware and coffee mugs for 3. Since there were just two of us it was okay. There is no table to eat at or play games. I wouldn't suggest that couples that are not related stay in the same unit as the bathrooms are quite exposed. So make sure you are dressed to get from the bedroom to the bathroom.
Overall, the property felt nice and in a great location. It felt safe and nicely updated, which we appreciated. You can prepare some food but not a full kitchen. We noticed some minor cleanliness details, like hair on the bed, and had inconsistent hot water. Additionally the TV remote’s right direction button was broken so we weren’t able to navigate to any shows we wanted to watch. Also the TV would turn on out of nowhere so I had to unplug it.Initial communication with the host was concerning, although it did improve a lot and they seemed friendly. The only frustrating experience was a landscaper arriving unannounced to work on the balcony during breakfast with my daughter. They were fairly pushy even after I asked them to come back after our stay, which impacted the experience. The host was not aware someone was going to show up (odd) but expressed genuine concern and was going to get to the bottom of it.With this being said I would recommend this stay if you want to be walking distance to the shops in midway.
This is a great 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit above a charming bookstore in Midway. Midway is a gem of a town and this building is a new construction that keeps in pace with the old world Swiss style of the town. The unit has exquisite furnishings, a fireplace, very comfortable memory foam sleeper sofa and high end furnishings and decor. The bathrooms are travertine. The whole place was very clean and cozy. It felt like a high end hotel. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable. I loved the location, not far from the Crater at the Homestead and Soldier Hollow. There isn’t a table to eat at and the kitchenette has only the basics. But we were mainly eating out so that wasn’t an issue. The whole building is beautiful and this suite was all themed around oaks and the impressive wall paper and oak decor was very charming.
