I ,love the old fashioned feel of the place and it no nonsense amenities. I did appreciate the nice happy hour and the free breakfast with lots of healthy stuff to eat.

It's an older building converted into a boutique hotel. The interior of the common areas and the rooms feels mid-80s. But for the price, it's reasonable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Very convenient neighborhood.

This listing is for a room at the Alexander Inn. Super location. Great price for a clean room in center of Philly. Hotel staff friendly and staffed 24/7. Parking tough. Plan to pay for the garage offered. Will stay again for sure.

Cozy & classy in convenient neighborhood

Just right for an overnight stay. Surprisingly quiet, comfortable bed, great shower, nice toiletries, charming aesthetics, high ceiling, professional staff, WiFi, ice, close to everything. Didn’t have time to try the breakfast (included!), but we hope to return.

I like to give the pros and cons to every establishment as I feel it’s important depending on what people value most, as to what review helps them. First the pros. The location was perfect. Easy walking distance to everything. We walked everywhere from Penn’s landing to the Franklin Institute and all that in between. Very nice and safe neighborhood. We walked at all times of the day/night too! The front desk staff was friendly, the breakfast and “wine time” staff was great as well. Water pressure in the shower far surpassed any “fancy” hotel we’ve stayed at. The room smelled great and was clean. There isn’t many cons, but a few. Most important to us was the bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable. The pillows were great though. As the hotel is older, there was only a window unit to keep cool, but it did the job well enough. The TV was old and didn’t have very many channels, but it served its purpose. “Happy Hour” consisted of just wine and the dining area where it’s held is hot. There was a meat/cheese selection as well. We stayed for three days and only had enough tickets for four glasses of wine, two each, so we used them all in one night. Breakfast selection was scarce. Self made waffles, yogurt, cereal, boiled eggs and some bread items. So if you’re looking for a great breakfast, this isn’t it. Overall I highly recommend this hotel, and we will stay there again when in Center City.
