This is a duplex with both apts fully independent of each other. Beautifully remodeled with plenty of kitchen utensils, 2 BBQs, washer dryer for each unit, 8 beach towels, 7 beach chairs and 4 boogie boards (at least when we were there). Great a/c and super attention to detail. Great customer service. They communicate throughout the stay as needed in a matter of minutes.

Very clean and had everything you need! The kitchens were very well stocked. We actually loved the privacy of having two separate units for a trip with the grandparents! Super quick walk to the beach and the community pool was great.

Just what we needed!

Our two families (kids ages 12-16) had a great time at Sol y Mar. It felt brand new and had everything we needed for a great time at the beach. Perfectly situated in walking distance to restaurants and shopping and ice cream. Loved the pool and the outdoor shower. Beach access was also great although there was only a small part of the beach we could set up at due to the surrounding resorts, but we made it work. Beautiful sunsets, dolphin sightings, white sand and clear turquoise water and there was something for everyone!

Great unit(s)

Pros: short walk to the beach. Easy in and out at the property. Private and secure. Super clean and extremely well stocked. Beautiful hot tub. Easy access to a few places to eat. Would recommend to a friend, especially if they have older kids. Cons: it wasn’t obvious that the property is two separate units. I wouldn’t have chosen this as we have three younger children. However, the kids liked it and we brought out baby monitor so the toddler went to sleep and we all hung out in the other unit. It ended up working out ok, but I can see how maybe it wouldn’t for some people looking for one bigger unit. I rechecked the description after we got there and still didn’t see it listed as two side by side units. Only in a review did it mention something about that arrangement.

Just right for a Girls Weekend!

Great Units, well equipped with everything you need for the Beach. Only complaints are that I didn't like that they are not connected on the inside, and that they would not accommodate late check out even though no one was at the Units Cleaning all day. (We stayed at the pool and it was apparent no one came to clean before we left at 2:30pm.)

Hi Lisa! Thank you so much for the great review! We agree that a girls weekend is the way to go for Sol y Mar! It's a perfect set up and it's location is unbeatable! We are sorry you couldn't receive the late check out. We do try to accommodate that when our schedule allows for it. It's likely that our housekeepers were just dropped off by their manager to clean the place (hence the reason it looked as if no one was there.) Normally they must be cleaned early enough for our inspectors who come between 2-3PM for the final inspection for the next turnover. Next time, we hope to accommodate your request! Thanks again!
