Loved the room and where it was located in the city. Comfortable space and very clean. Was a little tight for getting ready to go out, would be very convenient to have a mirror on the wall. A little pricey but overall, the stay was nice.
Very cute room and the folks down at Merchants bar were super helpful and friendly. The street right outside was a little loud which made sleeping a challenge, but it's not a very busy street.
Easy check in/out! Perfect location to walk to stadiums or Pike Street Market. Darcy's places are always a great stay. The discount at Merchant's is an added bonus. Our favorite place to stay when we visit Seattle!
Really cool historic building in a lively area. Two blocks to the sound and tons of food and bars nearby. The unit is above a bar so it can be a bit noisy but I had no issues sleeping through the night. Price, location and character can’t be beat!
Nice , cozy space for 1 or 2 people. Close to restaurants and a neighborhood market around the corner. Had a little delay at check-in, but things were fine after that. Can get a little noisy late at night for a light sleeper - I was there over the weekend...
Room was exactly as described. It was bigger, I think, than what is shown in the pictures. The host replied quickly. It can get very noisy at night due to the cars revving in the car park across the street and the proximity to the bars. It stops about 3am-ish. If the noise will bother you, make sure to bring ear plugs. There is no elevator and very long flight of stairs up. I was prepared from other reviews so it did not bother me too much. I would stay here again.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
There was dust almost everywhere other than table top and countertop, not sure if the floor was vacuumed. Baseboards had layers of dust. Windows were dirty, not sure last time they were cleaned. There was wet laundry in washer, contacted the host, I was told to put them in the dryer. I don't mind that, it's no big deal. But I would have expected an apology and or thank you for putting them in the dryer. The light fixture had bare lightbulbs over the bathroom sink. Mattress very poor, probably should have been replaced 10 years ago. The wifi is very weak, we could only have one phone at a time connected to it. On the plus side, the location is perfect. Close to most of what we needed within walking distance. On the other hand, we didn't realize it was right over a bar. So it was very very noisy through the night. And after the bar closed with patrons outside on the street carrying on. Why didn't we move - we were raised poor in the country so it wasn't foreign to us. We know how to manage. Just letting others know who may not be used to roughing it.
Such a convenient location! We could get anywhere we wanted with a quick walk to the light rail, and water front is basically a hop away. Other reviews have mentioned the noise level, and on Friday night it was super loud outside—but it was a game night and a weekend. The other nights were pretty standard city sounds. Check events nearby and bring earplugs if you need. Location definitely made any bad sleep worth it.
The host was very great at communicating! We requested an early check in but she was unable to accommodate, so she gave me a courtesy call to explain which was very appreciated !
Charming historic building. There were loads of toiletries, cooking gear, bedding and towels. It's a great location for the stadiums and downtown. Transport links are excellent and there are some really good restaurants nearby. We stayed in two different apartments during our visit, and the one at the front definitely was noisier at the weekend but this didn't bother us too much as we sleep well! There are no lifts/elevator so remember you have to walk up and down the stairs. Checking was simple and the host was easy to contact even with our 8 hr time difference in the UK.
Upon initial booking, I was not aware that there was no AC or elevator. After this realization Darcy went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of for the stay. Highly recommend booking with Darcy.
There’s an internal leak in the toilet that causes the tank to refill about every minute so it is very noisy and wastes water. The bed was quite lumpy and sank in the middle.
Clean, easy to check in and understand. The host did have to text me instructions because I wasnt able to find them on my own. Cute little room. There was some people making noise in the parking garage for a couple of the nights but thats not the hosts fault and i'm a pretty heavy sleeper. Not far from pikes market and lots of good bars and restaurants within walking distance. AC works and would stay again.
The room was clean, but had some dirty wash clothes and sheets in the dryer. The check in process was a little tricky as I never received the email with door code and room #. But thanks to Toni who helped quickly with this. However, overall cute place and convenient to Seattle.
The place itself was adorable, clean, functional and cozy. The only real downside, is that the shipwreck parking garage outside turns into an absolute nightmare of a party until the early hours of the morning. People on all three levels, were screaming, revving their cars and going hard. We also did not know not to park there until after we parked and brought our bags into the room. While the neighborhood has an old and beautiful character, it is very rough. Be aware of your surroundings and stay safe. The coffee provided was awesome. The space was delightful.
Check in was at 3pm. I was messaging and calling the owner from 2pm to 4pm and no response on how to check in. Customer service reached out to them multiple times as well with no response. It was a horrible experience to not know where you are going to stay just hours before your scheduled event. Vrbo made accommodations for me so I was at least taken care of in the end…
