This is a beautiful property located on the waterway. Unfortunately we were there for work and didn't get to enjoy the property very much but I would love to return with family to stay.
This place is fantastic! The views are beautiful! Loved having the dock to fish off of, catch crabs with our kids and park our boat. The house was clean and just as described. We will definitely be back! Great for family vacations.
This was a lovely home away from it all and right on the river for great fishing and kayaking. Also a great spot for bird watching. Great communication with the host.
Brought my daughter for a mother daughter vacation. We had so much fun playing pool, laying out on the dock, kayaking and watching the boats go by. The house was very clean and owners were great to communicate with. The beds were so comfortable and loved sitting on the back deck watching the sunrise. Will definitely be back again. Already have friends and family asking how they can rent the home!
This vrbo was great from booking to living in it. A dream come true, private, with great floor plan. The HUGE windows and sliding doors made even rainy moments let you enjoy all the views of the dock and water, wildlife. Tree frongs, lizzards, dolphins, deer, crabs, fish, and bids so much to entertain. Cooking on the grill and relaxing breakfast cooking in a well appointed kitchen was just great. The main bed are a bit higher then usual which is great and beautiful looking but was hard for me to use but the other beds worked great for this short old gal with bum knees. Top of the line appliances kept the experience all very luxurious and made this feel very like "we won the lottery". The pool table in the loft was a very nice feature along with the extra games and puzzles you had avaliable to use. The furniture inside and out was great both in firm functionality and in beauty. Being in our 50's and health issues we appreciated that. Really could go on forever about this property it was great. The town of Beaufort was great and I say do the pirate ship tour at night it's not scary and is very fun a cross between comedy and informational and ribeyes restaurant was great as well. Its a bit a way from town but we shopped for basic needs and enjoyed cooking here, but theres so many resturants and things around you could eat out as well. We just wanted a totally relaxing vacation and this was it, come read a book, draw , fish or chase wild Come stay and ejoy. We will be back.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful and detailed review! We are so glad Blue Crab Shores gave you the relaxing, peaceful getaway you needed, and it’s great to hear how much you enjoyed the wildlife, the kitchen, and all the quiet moments by the water. Thank you also for sharing those local tips for future guests, the pirate tour in Beaufort is always a favorite! It was a true pleasure hosting you both, and we would absolutely love to welcome you back anytime!
We felt comfortable immediately upon arrival. The house is in a very quiet and picturesque location. We saw dolphins, spent hours on the dock fishing, and had a blast exploring the water on our personal paddle boards. The house was well stocked with cooking essentials and linens. Communication with the owner was seamless - they answered both of my questions within minutes. The house is about 30 minutes from takeout / grocery stores, so make sure to plan accordingly. We would recommend this place (and already have) to our friends and family.
The weather was fantastic. We had rain on our checkout day but it really didn't impact our trip. Overall, everything was outstanding. The house was very clean (Thank You!), and it was extremely comfortable. We did not see anyone at all in the area with the exception of the lawn care companies. Exactly what we were expecting. The only minor details that I would suggest would be to have more supplies like paper towels, foil and other items that your guest may forget. Only suggesting due to the stores being so far away. We just used what we had available as we really did not want to take the drive. Also, I really didn't mind taking our trash with us because I have a truck. Guest driving a car may feel otherwise. The issue was the waste site was not open on Sunday morning, so I had to bring our trash all the way home with us. We mostly enjoyed the dock/pier for fishing, relaxing and the views were phenomenal. Thanks again and I hope you will remain successful in the rental business.
Communication with the owner was amazing and he was very responsive. Everything was exactly as pictured. Clean, comfortable, and cozy! We caught a few fish, kayaked, and cooked over the fire pit outside. The closest Food/household items store is Dollar General about 20 mins up the road, so grab what you need before you go. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely recommend to our family and friends!

Thank you so much for the wonderful review and for being such great guests! We are thrilled to hear you enjoyed the fishing, kayaking, and fireside cooking. For your next visit, or for anyone else planning a stay, if you head 20 to 25 minutes in the opposite direction towards historic Beaufort, you will find a ton of variety, including a Piggly Wiggly, Food Lion, Dollar Tree, Dunkin' Donuts, and plenty of other commercial options! We would love to welcome you back anytime and truly appreciate the recommendations to your family and friends!
My family absolutely adored this place. We stayed for one week and made wonderful memories! There was plenty of room for my family of 5 and my parents. We spent the week fishing, catching crabs, kayaking, playing pool, and enjoying the colorful sunsets and sunrises. We ventured off for a couple beach days (I recommend Fort Macon Beach over Atlantic Beach), went to a local water park, and took a historic Beaufort ghost tour. The wildlife there was awesome, every day was something new… blue crabs, sting rays, tree frogs, geckos, some pretty blue bird that flew by my face every time I walked by his bird house. I even took the kayak out and just hung out with some pelicans. This was a very nice break from the usual crammed tourist condos we book.

We're a family of five who've called North Carolina home for 16 years, and we adore everything this state has to offer, from the majestic mountains to the beautiful beaches. Family vacations are our favorite, creating lasting memories. When we're not exploring, you'll find us fishing, kayaking, or enjoying a cozy movie night. If you love waterfront relaxation and outdoor adventures, you'll feel right at home
