Three of us came up for a weekend of ice fishing. The house had plenty of room for us and our gear. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of room as well.
Great location right off the sand bar don’t need a boat to be part of the fun.

Richard, thank you for your repeat business. We really appreciate you! Glad you had a wonderful time. Just FYI for future rentals, Korbinskis rents pontoons!
This is a nice property! The house looks just as it is pictured. It is very comfortable and we had a great and relaxing stay here. We rented a boat one day and played mini golf another day. The dart board and air hockey table provided many hours of entertainment for us. The house is close to stores and restaurants, so if you want to cook in or go out this is the perfect place. We had a great time here.

we are so happy that you had a wonderful time with your kids. Thank you for your comments and we hope to have you return soon.
This was a cozy property and we all had a great time. The property had everything you needed. There is no beach which we didn’t realize but the water is so shallow in that area, it was a lot of fun!
This is the fourth time renting at this location. The location is perfect for activities in or around Houghton Lake. The house is clean and tidy with comfortable beds. We really enjoy the fire ring in back as well as the view of the lake.

Owner's Response: "Thank you, Lon, for your comments and repeat business. We appreciate it!"
The house and location on the lake are great. We truly enjoyed every day here. Close to anything you might need while your there. The property manager was great and very helpful during our stay. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.
On the water at Houghton Lake, felt right at home, entirely well-stocked & everything worked, it was a perfect 4 days! We drove around the entire lake & it seemed we were in the best location possible, private yet only a 2 or 3 minute drive to everything!
This was our second time staying here. Very nice view. Good sized house. We had a nice long weekend with family. Could use a bit of updating, better mattresses, couch, pans in kitchen. The grill was brand new and very nice!
This is a wonderful cottage right on the sand bar at Houghton Lake. The cottage was perfect for our party of 6–my wife and I, our 2 year old and 4 year old, and my parents. We had a wonderful time relaxing and swimming. Our kids had a blast. Highly recommended!
It’s was perfect !!!! The owner was right on top of things .. I would definitely recommend to stay there and hopefully we can go back there again to make more summer memories.
The house was very clean and in a great location, close to town. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed having a fire under the stars and walking out to the sandbar during sunset. Our dogs loved playing in the shallow water and roaming the backyard which they did at ease with the partial fencing. Will definitely book again!

Nice place for families with little kids
The house is really nice! The back "play room" was nice for night time games and puzzles while the kids were sleeping. I was a little nervous about the lake situation when we first got there, but turns out the kids loved it. This house is on a sand bar so the water is very shallow. In front of the house the water is only about knee high on my 2 yr old, then gets even more shallow. But it was perfect! The kids enjoyed laying in the water playing in the sand and our dog had the time of his life making friends with other dogs on the sand bar and chasing the birds away from their little island. Our friends came for the day on their way to a family cottage and their 1 yr old loved splashing in the shallow water. There is a little area off the end of the neighbors dock where the lake gets deeper and that was perfect for our 5 and 6 yr old to actually swim around. We put our beach chairs on the sand bar, packed a cooler and spent the days in the warm shallow water. It was really nice. We also were able to take a day trip to Mackinaw, which was about an hour and half drive from Houghton Lake. Overall, it was a very nice stay. Couple hiccups with towels provided but the owner went over and above to fix the problem which was most appreciated. This is the first house we've rented that our kids actually asked if we could go back to. Oh, and the VCR with multiple Disney movies was a huge hit too! The kids thought that was so "cool". FYI... the 500 pc chair puzzle is missing 1 piece and the 550 pc trolls puzzle is missing 3 pieces :)~.
We had so much fun, the pictures and descriptions were accurate. The lake was clear and warm and so many fun minnows for the kiddos to catch off the dock. The house was as pictured, the living room ac doesn't run very cool but it was good enough. Lots of restaurants on the water within 15 minutes or less of the house. House was stocked with what we needed. We would come back again :)

Thank you for your visit and review. My apologies on the AC running a bit less than cold. I will definitely address that. Thanks so much>
My brother, his son and I stayed here between 11/19/2022 and 11/23/2022 for a 4 day rest and to binge watch Yellowstone. The first morning we noticed it a little cold in the house and kept trying to turn it up but it wouldn't warm up. I was texting back and forth with the owner. She at first couldn't find anyone to call to come out and fix or look at it. So she ordered from Home Depot an electric fireplace heater for the front room until we could get it fixed. Here husband came in from his hunting trip to check things out and see what he could do. By then we had a furnace guy there and they let him do his thing. By the end of the evening we had heat and was comfortable the rest of our stay. She told us not to worry about being out right at 10am, to take our time. Plus she refunded our pet fee for the inconvenience of having to go pick up a heater and find a heating guy. (I just so happened to know a guy) So, great people to rent from. The house is right on the lake in Prudenville and was very clean and nice. I would stay here again, only maybe summer time next time.

Shared from the owner: "Thanks, Cheryl, I appreciate your working with us. Long-distance rental homes can be a challenge and I’m glad we were able to find solutions!"
This is a lovely property and the host is always helpful and responsive. We had a great time and the place had everything we needed (for cooking, relaxing on a rainy day, playing in the yard/lake). We used the bedroom with 2 beds for a pack n play for our little. It could have fit in the other rooms a bit but it would be tighter. A wonderful location, can't beat the lake and view, and a very nice property. Thank you for everything, can't wait to bring the family back in the future!
