Shenandoah stay with spectacular view

Cozy and super clean home with amazing backyard including spectacular views of the mountains. Sunsets were breathtaking! Eric has one of the most well stocked kitchens I've stayed in with everything organized and labeled for easy access. Will definitely stay again if we visit the area in the future.

Amazing Views

My husband and I have rented countless properties and this by far was one of the most accommodating places. The house was spotless and the views were amazing. Very nice outside area to relax after a full day. I would definitely stay there again!

This lovely home has fabulous views! It was clean, well stocked with items needed, and well organized. We did encounter one issue while on our stay but Eric was very responsive and worked to try to resolve it. It was close to skyline drive, Luray Caverns, cute downtown shops and restaurants which we enjoyed.

Long Easter Weekend

We wanted a quiet place with good views and Shenandoah Hideaway was just that. The 2 mile drive up the road (1,100 ft change in elevation) to the house leads to a spectacular panoramic view of SNP. It was quiet, relaxing, and Eric was an excellent host

Great Short Vosit

My wife and I took a short honeymoon stay in Shenandoah Hideaway. The house was beautiful and had a view to match. Plenty of amenities provided to make the house feel like home for a few days. We had a few issues that the host (Eric) addressed quickly. We would absolutely visit again!

Peaceful vacation

Our family was so impressed with this gem! It was well equipped, clean and comfortable. My favorite part was sitting on the hammock each evening watching the sunset over the spectacular view of Shenandoah. Our teens enjoyed hanging out in the upstairs living area and balcony. We hope to come back some day!

Great Location and Beautiful Sunsets

I highly recommend Shenandoah Hideaway. I stayed there with 3 friends for a weekend getaway of long distance hiking in the park. The location is very close to the park and the AT. The place has been updated and is very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make big dinners and breakfasts to fuel our long day of hiking. The patio is gorgeous and view is absolutely stunning which was a great way to start and end your day. This place is a gem and I plan on returning again for another weekend of hiking.

Beautiful view and well equipped!

First, the property was small but very well equipped. Eric was very responsive to all my questions and had some great suggestions on hikes and local attractions. Thanks so much for everything!Celeste

Very easy check-in with a code. Full size kitchen with spices, pots and pans, and silverware. Also a dishwasher and plenty of things, such as ziploc bags and to-go containers, in the pantry, all labled and easy to find! The view was absolutely stunning, and the place was comfortable. We really enjoyed using the firepit, too, as well as watcing the stars from the upstairs balcony, and relaxing in the hammock. The host, Eric, was friendly and communicative for any and all questions, comments, or concerns. Absolutely recommend this place!

Tranquility!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, well-equipped home with picturesque Mountain views and unbelievable night sky. The absolute ideal spot to relax, recharge, and unwind. It is a short drive for lunch at The Black Twig in Sperryville, dinner at Paddy O’s in Washington, or to access the Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns. We really enjoyed the scenic Skyline Drive as well. The owner was an absolute delight to work with. They have a spectacular patio with a stockpile of wood for you to enjoy an evening by the fire pit. 10/10 would absolutely return to this little slice of heaven.

My wife and I have stayed at a number of VRBO‘s. The owners of this home went to great lengths to make their guests feel comfortable and welcome. The amenities from cooking utensils, pots and pans (high quality & unscratched), dishes, spices, teas & coffee, & appliances went above and beyond what we have experienced in other VRBO’s.The home was very clean, well furnished, comfortable beds, etc. The host has high attention to detail and thought of pretty much everything you could possibly need during your stay, including excellent directions for using the amenities. The fireplace was very easy to turn on and off along with the TV, and the thermostat was very easy to adjust. Little details like putting extra outlets on either side of the bed was very nice.

Perfect mountain retreat! We stayed for a long weekend to slip away from the daily grind in the city and take in the views. The Mountain View is surreal. Sunsets offer a front row seat with awesome photo opportunities. The night sky on the mountain was something I’ve never seen before - So. Many. Stars. Star gazing is a must; you can actually see the Milky Way! We enjoyed the warmth of the fire pit in the evenings and roasting marshmallows. Outside offers abundant seating as well different seating areas that offer varying views. Beautiful unakite and epidote rocks are used in the outside landscaping. These are healing stones! The house itself is very clean and well stocked. The kitchen has every dish and utensil to prepare any meal. It lacks nothing. The house appears to have had a recent remodeling and it looks great. Super cozy and inviting atmosphere. We played games and put together a 500 piece puzzle. Perfect for me, my husband and our 11 yo. If you are thinking of staying in the mountains to relax and unwind then Shenandoah Hideaway is the place to be!
