We really enjoyed our stay here. The home was roomy, the outdoor kitchen was great, and the view was incredible. It’s a great base camp for anyone interested in exploring the Hill Country or heading down to San Antonio. The hosts were excellent. I highly recommend this place.
Stayed here for the week with my 3 co workers. We enjoyed the view and hanging on the back porch. Beds were super comfortable. Overall great stay. Only issue we found was the back porch fan was not working but not taking a star away for that.
Our family (2 adults, 2 kids under 10) had a wonderful stay at the Guadalupe River Escape house last weekend. The house was spotless, well-stocked and beautiful. The large back patio, which overlooks the river and hills, was our favorite gathering spot to watch sunrises and sunsets, grill, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather. And the deer! We saw deer across the river every day, and there were deer that often slept in the front yard of the house at night. The house is conveniently located near town but feels secluded, and you can't top the view from the back deck. The owners are very responsive and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.
This house was incredibly nice. The interior was clean and comfortable. The primary bedroom and en-suite bath was spacious and the linens were top-notch. Everything you need is at hand - laundry is just off the kitchen. The covered back porch is a wonderful spot. We enjoyed the fireplace and sitting on the lower deck watching the deer in the river below. You will enjoy this spot!!
Was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. The home was very comfortable, inviting and clean. We enjoyed checking out the river below and the view is - wow! The back patio is another living space with plenty of seating, TV and grilling station. Tubing and wineries are nearby. We didn't have time to hang out in the river below but this property has direct river access, which is great. Host is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!
The pictures do not do the property justice! The scenery was beautiful and the house was clean and stocked with all the necessities and then some! Communication with the property owner was easy and she was always very responsive.
My friends and I enjoyed a couple days of golf and it was nice to come home to a beautiful home with great scenery!

Golf trip
Not having working television on outside patio was a deal breaker. Wanted to spend time out there but could not watch games and forced us to stay inside.
Just plain awesome. We're already planning our next trip! The house was perfect for three couples. We had plenty of room and the owners thought of all the little necessities and were super responsive. We had no need to ever leave. As devoted river floaters (Bobcat Alum) we opted not to float and enjoyed the water by the house. Best. Decision. Ever. It is a hike down to the water and those stairs are no joke, but we got in our steps and had a fantastic time.
Pictures don't do the view any justice!
The house is in a neighborhood so don't plan to bring a wild party, but if you want to relax and have a chill weekend, this is the place.
Beautifully appointed home! Had a nice long weekend with our kids. It rained on Saturday and the porch was fantastic to enjoy the weather. Kitchen is well stocked, the porch is incredible, and the kids really enjoyed the extra games and puzzles provided. We will definitely be back!
Perfect setting for family to gather from East and West coast to visit parents in Hill Country. Great room and well equipped kitchen along with large deck with cozy fireplace and a gorgeous view over the River were conducive to memory making.
What a great property. We have a group of friends that do a trip together every fall and selected this property this year and what a great time we had. The patio and view is incredible, just what we were looking for. Very clean, everything you need is provided, great hosts. I highly recommend this property.
We had a mom's getaway at this property. It was absolutely gorgeous! We enjoyed our stay and the owners were very helpful. We would definitely book it again.
A group of 3 couples stayed at this house and we had the absolute best time. The house was clean, organized, comfortable and had the most amazing view. The outside patio overlooking the river really made this home. We took the stairs down to the river each day and brought floats to hang out in the water. It was beautiful and very peaceful. One day while in the river we saw deer cross one of the banks next to us. The trail at the end of the stairs down to the water bank can be a little steep but very doable for adults. Our group of friends talked about renting this house every summer. I highly suggest you do the same. The host was amazing to work with which is also a huge plus.
We stayed her with intentions of having it as home base to go to New Braunfels and San Antonio. Ended up we just stayed at the house the whole weekend.
The porch and view are fantastic.
They have a Nintendo 64 in the family room. We had a great time playing Mario kart. Just a lot of fun and nostalgic.
Had a really good time.
Kitchen is good for cooking and outdoor grill was great.
This house was absolutely spectacular. The views were even better than the listing portrayed. I did expect the stairs to go all the way down to the water, but they only went about half to 2/3 of the way; we managed to make it the rest of the way just fine though. Our trip was based around floating the river, but the main tube rental spots are about a 40 minute drive. We didn’t really mind the drive, but traffic was terrible. The beds were all very comfortable and the house offered everything we needed (except for a blender). The majority of our time was spent on the patio which was absolutely perfect in every aspect. If you want to stay in and have basically your own private spot on the river, then this is your place!
We loved our recent stay at the Guadalupe River Escape! My Mom, sister and I were looking for somewhere to go for a relaxing long weekend from Dallas and this place was perfect! We didn’t realize any place in Texas could be so beautiful! We spent most of our time on the huge gorgeous patio enjoying the view and watching for deer and hummingbirds. The only disappointment was that we never did see the fox! The home is well equipped from the kitchen to the bathroom with everything you could need and more. The owners were helpful and quick to respond. Highly recommend!
