This Lansing cabin boasts 4 inviting bedrooms - 1 king bed and 3 queen beds. The cozy living room also offers 2 sofa beds for extra sleeping space. Guests can enjoy the fabulous surroundings and tranquil atmosphere during their stay. Whether you're looking to relax or explore the area, this enchanting property is the perfect retreat. We'll be available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.
* 3 Night Min needed for summer weekends and Holidays
ValleyView Lodge…. a large 4 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom, A-Frame Cabin with the perfect mix of seclusion and accessibility. It is surrounded by towering bluffs of Allamakee County’s driftless area & located just a few miles South of the popular river resort town of Lansing Iowa. The Lodge provides an ideal getaway for families, couples, or corporate retreats.
The property has a private Swimming Pond with babbling Stream & Waterfalls, Outdoor Hot Tub Jacuzzi, wraparound deck, Master Loft Suite on Main Floor, 2 TV Rooms, Large Open Kitchen with Center Island, log furniture, a new large wood burning Fireplace, outdoor firepit in the evenings and wireless High-speed internet is available.

Sleeps 14 with 4 bedrooms and 3 Hide-a-bed sofas in the Main floor living room and loft upstairs

If you have children please make sure they are monitored around the pond and that they know not to throw any rocks into it

Overall, the stay was good. House was beautiful but Wasn’t very clean when we got there. The counters weren’t very clean, there was random garbage from the previous visitors, and the fridge / freezer wasn’t cleaned out. The kitchen was lacking a lot of essentials or looked dirty. we knew we had to bring our own linens but didn’t expect everything( hand towel, kitchen towels, wash cloths.)The hot tube was great and the views were breath taking.

The place was as listed and very nice. The hot tub was very nice to have, as it was crazy cold the night we stayed. Overall it was a great experience.

1. Lack of address at the entrance of the driveway. 2.Deck in need of major repairs and only rope to prevent falling into pond. 3. Cleaned up Asian beetles every day. 4. Left list on refrigerator of concerns. 5. Host was accommodating.

Great cabin

The cabin and location are great. Everything was as described. I wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness. There were stains on the floor from spills and marks/crumbs on end tables from previous guests having drinks/food. It’s nice that pets are allowed but with that comes additional cleaning that was missed. Pet hair on furniture and a spot by one of the doors that appeared to be from a pet having an accident. Hopefully those can be areas of improvement. I’d overall recommend this place and I’d book again.

Real life is much different than the pics on the listing. The creek bed wasn't running. No central air (window ACs and they are filthy master bedroom doesn't have a window AC). Property inside NEEDS a good cleaning. Outside has weeds everywhere and the deck screws need attention. Don't rely on the kitchen pots/pans as they are trashed. Fridge snd freezer need lower temps (of course those settings were locked). We cleaned fans before we'd plug them in, cleaned the dishwasher filter since it stunk, and washed the bath mat. Bathroom hand soaps were watered down. My six yr old didn't mind all that and was so excited for the pond so we stayed and dealt with everything. For the money, it's a disappointment. I also messaged Cory shortly after we arrived with a simple question and never got a response. The pond was fun though and the potential is there but it needs work and some TLC. Invest in some black out curtains and take down the taped trash bags, please. Maybe an umbrella for the deck (especially since the photos show one). Also, fix or replace the loose exterior door handles. I so wanted to like this rental...the kid did though and we made some good memories.

We had a great stay, the location was perfect for day trips all along the great river road. Casino, great parks with amazing views, and antiques. The deer and 10 points bucks were out right outside our window every day. The hot tub was a great place to watch from..
