This was our second stay this year at this property (the first was in February), and we returned because it was a perfect couple’s retreat, in terms of layout, space, amenities, yadda yadda. The location was awesome for our day trips to Cowichan, Nanoose Bay for golf, and Tofino.

Our stay at The Cozy Visit Nest was amazing!!! We can't say enough great things! The hosts provided a beautifully decorated, modern setting in pristine condition. It included absolutely anything we could even dream of needing on our vacation. The location was ideal with a couple of beaches within walking distance and a short drive to local amenities. An absolute gem of a find!!!

We are seniors and having a one story layout was perfect. The distance we needed to walk after parking was so so close to the front door. Although not a brand new unit, it seems like it is because Duncan and Cherie obviously take such great care maintaining it. Wonderful King size bed, lovely bathroom and livingroom and kitchen! Across the street, walking to the shore was peaceful and a memory I will always have. The access to highway 19 is a breeze. And driving north on highway 19A which mostly runs the shore, is great fun and intesting. It was truly hard to leave one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed at. Mahalo and Aloha!

We couldn’t have been happier, the place was beautiful. It was like living in a show home. Cherie and Duncan were great hosts. Answered any questions we had within minutes. They provided great information about local spots of interest. As well as many further away spots. If we come back to this area we would definitely consider staying at the Nest.

What a fabulous little gem!

This was our first trip to the island, and we did not want to stay in a hotel in an urban area. We were happy to find this property in Lantzville, which was accessible to main routes, but far enough away that you felt the serenity of being in a small town. Our hosts provided a fantastic private suite, which was akin to living in a modern one bedroom condo with all amenities. It was tastefully decorated, and had all the comforts of home. An added bonus is that there are local establishments within a ten minute walk, as is the coastal shore. It was an excellent base as we set off in multiple directions to explore Vancouver Island on various day trips!

We have lived on Vancouver Island our whole lives. We love to travel ourselves and prefer vrbo over hotels for our stays to get that local feel. We love being hosts, meeting people and providing all the comforts of home that we enjoy having when traveling.

Why they chose this property

We just love Lantzville! Minutes to Nanaimo, but small village feel. Being able to walk to the beach every day is such a delight. Our area is absolutely beautiful. Being able to walk to 3 different restaurants is a big bonus too. We also utilize the bus stop book exchange frequently. There’s always a large selection of books free for the taking.

What makes this property unique

Our suite s all one level except a 5” step at entry from patio. There is a small, fully fenced private outdoor space for guests, we also provide ample supplies to get you through most of your stay. Spices and all the expected supplies for an enjoyable stay. We personally really appreciate a space that has supplies. Arriving and having only one garbage bag, one roll of toilet paper and no kitchen staples is frustrating.
