We always have a wonderful experience when we stay here, clean, friendly comfortable and a short walk to downtown, we love this place, stayed several years but not always available on the dates we want. You won't be disappointed when you stay in this unit.

I love hearing about guests enjoying their Salem experience when staying in our home.
This has been one of the best experiences for myself and family. Loved the condo. Loved the location. Easy walking distance to anything. Communication with our host was excellent. It is highly recommended. Thank you for the awesome experience.
We Loved the fact that the location was in walking distance of almost everything we wanted to see in Salem without being right in the middle of all the crowds.
This was the perfect place for visiting Salem. Everything that we wanted to do was within walking distance. The home was very clean and so cute. We loved it. I can't wait to plan another trip to Salem - when we do, the first thing I will do is see if this home is available.
Came for a girls trip. Perfect location within walking distance of everything in salem!
Clean property, much larger then the pictures let on. Very cozy and centrally located. Host was very accommodating and responded very Quito any questions we had! We will definitely be returning!

Great Condo!
Great downtown location, close to all shopping, museum and restaurants. The property was spotless, well maintained and very spacious. The owner was professional, courteous, friendly and made us feel welcome.

Thank you, Allan. It's a good feeling to welcome folks into our home and we are doubly pleased you enjoyed Salem and all it has to offer. Your recommendation is very appreciated. Ellen
We had a great stay in this adorable apartment in Salem! The property is within easy walking distance to all of the Salem attractions and restaurants. It is actually 3 bedrooms (one was attached to the master) which was perfect for our two kids to have their own space. Our favorite restaurants were Bella Verona (EXCEPTIONAL Italian food), The Blue Fez and the Lobster Shack. Thanks for a great vacation!

Thank you for your glowing comments. I' very pleased you enjoyed your visit.
Neat, comfy condo within a short walk of Salem's center of activities
We felt a personal commitment from the owner and PM, and are very satisfied with the look and feel of the home, which is a first-floor condo in a four-unit, older building.
There are enough amenities for an eat-in stay, and a few items to keep a child busy, but the real reason to stay here is for the access to Salem's restaurants and activities. We were glad for the small playground very close by.
Grateful for Ellen and her wonderful downstairs apartment. We arrived to Salem much earlier then expected and Ellen was kind enough to let us park at the apartment early while we waited to check in (which we were able to check in early). They apartment is located in a quiet street and is a short distance from most shops, restaurants and historical sites. Perfect place for our weekend stay. Thank you!!!!
Wonderful apartment, right in the heart of Salem. The owner Ellen, and the property manager Christine were responsive and extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment has parking which is a must in Salem during October. In walking distance to all the major attractions. The apartment was clean and cozy! Christine was available 24/7. We plan to return and we will definitely be booking again with Ellen. Thank you for making our anniversary so special!

Thank you for such hda glowing comment. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your visit. We've never been to Salem in October (too crazy!), and save it for visits to our families, so it's doubly good to hear about your visit.
This downstairs apartment was perfect for our family of 4. There are 3 bedrooms, so each daughter was able to have her own room. The living room was perfect for relaxing after busy days touring Salem. Loved that there is a dining room, and the kitchen was perfect for what we needed. We did eat out most times, but it was nice to be able to eat in/eat leftovers and make coffee in the morning. The bathroom is small, but it is very nice and well appointed. Everything we did was walking distance and there are so many places to grab food really close to the apartment. The only thing we drove to was the train station for our trip into Boston as we didn't know how much energy we would have or what time we would be getting back. Parking was only $2 for the train. We also had wonderful interactions with Ellen and Christine. We would definitely stay here again.

Salem Stay
It was okay, just a few minor things that slowly added up, the biggest being that there were mice that slipped in and out under the door that we saw multiple times, the fire alarm was ripped off the ceiling in a bedroom, the scouring pads for washing the dishes were very old and moldy, no garbage bags to be found anywhere, the coffee pot was broken and really old and split everywhere when you poured it. The bed is not a king, its a queen, tv was very small and your pictures show bunk beds and there were none. While we understand these things (like mice) happen, there were no mice traps. The neighbors were extremely loud and smoked pot inside (which traveled through the hallway) and we could never get the wifi to work and at times the TV wouldnt work because of the connection. For the price we paid, we were pretty bummed with the results.

Dear Samatha, please accept my deep apologies for the downsides of your experience. A few explanations, but not excuses. All of the smoke alarms are scheduled for replacement. One was disconnected the week before your arrival because of constant bleeping. For the wifi connection, either Christine or I could have helped with this if asked. I'll check that the instructions in the notes include the wifi connection. I know how frustrating this can be. And yes, the coffee maker leaks. Neither Christine nor I knew this, and I'm sure she would have been on the case if she had known. And thank you (kind of!) for for telling us about the mice! Our condo association has a regular pest control person, and I'll be looking into what is, or is not, being done. We'll be staying in the condo soon, so I'm on this one. How one deals with neighbors is tricky. Usually they are very welcoming to visitors, but odors and noise can be very disturbing. Overall, I hope you were able to enjoy your visit to Salem.
Best regards,
Ellen
We've stayed many places in Salem over the years and this is one in which we'd surely like to stay again.
We enjoyed: The location. The friendly neighbors. The plenty of linens. The A/C units and fans (one day was 98% humidity). The ease of entry. The great kitchen, dining area, and living room. The comfort in general. The ease to find and access extra pillow cases and sheets in the totes (I think there some twin sheets stored in the "double" tote) was great. Some suggestions: Update "sleeping arrangements" pics/description on VRBO listing so folks know there is no longer a bunk in one room, but a single in two bedrooms...nor is there a blow up air mattress we could find. More toilet paper needed. An apology: While taking trash out when cleaning up unit to check out, one of us unknowingly stepped in a pile of dog poo around the trash cans and tracked in poop on their foot...I noticed it on the bathroom rug and alerted everyone to check their shoes! Thankfully we found the culprit, but sorry about the bathroom rug! Yuck!
We'd love to rent the unit again next year for our annual Halloween vacation to Salem. Would Oct 20-23, 2023 be available? Thank you.
Grand appartement central, très bien équipé, très propre. Bonne communication et très arrangeant sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ. Un grand merci! Je recommande.
We've been booking here for many years and it's always been a wonderful space. It's even better now that a few upgrades have been made. It's spacious, always spotless and the neighbours are great. It's right downtown and close to everything you could want while in Salem. The owner and property manager are incredible people who are always responsive and helpful! We highly recommend this condo!
This is in walking distance of downtown which is great for October when parking is very limited. Spacious apartment is good for a family or a few couples. Keep in mind it’s an old building so walls are thin and neighbors had a party two nights which was very loud for children trying to sleep. Communication with apartment manger was very fast friendly and helpful.

Why they chose this property
Our young families are in the area, so this is our home when we visit them. We chose Salem because of vibrant festivals and activities, the stunning historic environment and the excellent public transportation to Boston, Logan airport, and Maine. We hope you enjoy your visit.
What makes this property unique
We love this place because of the light filled rooms and the charming turn of the century features like the pillars dividing the dining and living rooms. It is convenient to all the things we need and enjoy. We've kept it simple and uncluttered to make it easy to enjoy during vacations. At the same time, we've chosen some special furniture and touches to make it feel like home.
