We rented this VRBO for a family get together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with our kids and grandchildren. The property and location were perfect. We spent a lot of time in the pool. The water was chilly in the morning, but warm by mid-afternoon. The beach is a short 6 minute walk away.The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. Everything we needed for basic cooking was available. Two items of the house were a hit: the elevator and the oceanfront balcony. I have arthritis in my knees so stairs are difficult. The house elevator makes Shore Thing handicap accessible even for someone in a wheelchair. The oceanfront balcony that was accessed by a spiral staircase was a hit with young and old. Many members of the family went there to sit throughout the day and evening to find moments of quiet and enjoy the view.The family made good use of the pool table downstairs. There is a variety of pool toys for use in the pool. Also, the house was well stocked with games. Every bedroom has a tv in it. Seriously, the house alone has so much to do on site that you wouldn't need to go to town.Holden Beach community is small and cozy. We had a fun time at Fantasy Isle Ice Cream and mini-golf. And I had the best Connecticut style lobster roll and cole slaw at Salty Dogs Cafe and Bark Bar. The property manager was very responsive and helpful when we had a question or issue. I highly recommend this property for a large group.
