Retreat with the most beautiful waves
I was impressed as soon as i pulled in the driveway, exactly as described . The sound of the waves as the tide came and went was music to this mid Ontario girl . The host answered my call immediately . Perfect.

Amazing location
Property was as described, with the most stunning location right on the water. Loved the wood stove too. Not a criticism but be mindful that this is a ‘cottage’, with furnishings, fixtures and kitchenware to match, though we had everything we needed. Comfortable queen sized bed. Very convenient to the Powell River ferry terminal without it being disruptive. Thank you for sharing this wondrous spot. We named the regularly visiting seal, Albert.

Meet the owners - brothers John and Scott Wade. The Wades own the property along with their sister, Julie Busenius. Pictured here is John with his sons (from left to right) Nicholas, Christopher and Tyler, Scott's daughter Alison, Scott and the Wade family dogs. All of us were born, raised and still live on beautiful Vancouver Island.

Why they chose this property

Murtle Pilgrim, from Victoria BC, purchased the beach front lot to be closer to her family in Comox. In fact, Murtle's father, James Carthew, was once the mayor of Cumberland. The cabin was built in 1960 and back then it was simply one room with no bathroom, no kitchen and no running water. The cabin has been a part of the family ever since. It is the families summer beach getaway - and when you get here you will understand why they love it so much! The view is absolutely stunning!

What makes this property unique

Our cabin is private and fully winterized. Ideal for 2 people with a fully equipped kitchen. The hide-a-bed is great for an additional 2 people. There is plenty of room on the property to pitch a tent for the kids and the beautiful sandy beach is ideal for children. There is endless nature around you - plenty of eagles and herons soaring past and otters, seals and sealions that regularly swim by. Very quiet and tranquil location with the convenience of shopping and recreation just a few minutes away by car.
