We really enjoyed our stay in this very clean and comfy home! It was close enough to the city to enjoy the amenities but also removed enough to enjoy the peacefulness of nature.

We had a relaxing and “peaceful” stay at Andrea and Scott’s cottage in early October. It’s in great condition and very tastefully decorated. The beds and the sofa were very comfy and the kitchen was one of the best we’ve been in as a rental. We enjoyed being beside one of the trailheads for Seal Bay park. We also really appreciated having a fully fenced yard for our dog ! although we didn’t leave her alone out there. That is so hard to find in rentals. Andrea was very responsive and we enjoyed trying the eggs from their hens. Good location. We enjoyed seeing the pink salmon spawning in the Tsolem river about a 15 min drive away. Would love to return for another stay!

Peaceful Courtney Cottage

Andrea and Scott have a cozy, welcoming cottage with everything you might need for a family stay. We were in town for a family reunion with four adults. Five-star comfort and tranquility. Loved the outside sitting area and table fireplace.

Family getaway

We had a wonderful time at the Parkside Cottage. We traveled with our toddler and small dog, and felt right at home. The cottage was well equipped and kid friendly. The fenced yard was great for our dog and toddler to run around. The location is right beside the Seal Bay Park trailhead, which had wonderful trails. I highly recommend this property!

Just what I needed

This lovely, quiet cottage is situated on a cul de sac. Two steps from the property is the entrance to Seal Bay Nature Park. The cottage is modern and well equipped. The hosts have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. Everything from cookware to bedding is top notch quality. I will come back again and again. Thank you.

Peaceful Parkside Cottage

VRBO listing accurate. Did not have time to explore the pathway beside the cottage which intrigued me but the visit was spent with family time. Cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated. Cozy with lots of blankets and pillows useful on cool nights sitting outside beside the propane fire pit under the stars which we enjoyed. Hosts quickly responded to questions accommodating special request. Quiet dead end street in ideal country setting yet only minutes to town.

Wonderful!!!

We were lucky to come across this great cottage in a lovely area of Vancouver Island. It is spacious and very well equipped; Parkside has everything you may need. And the location is very handy to Courtenay and Comox; a great area for exploring. We had Shaka, our ridgeback with us, and the fact that the cottage is right on the doorstep to one of the entrances of a large park (Seal Bay Nature Park) which has fabulous trails both on-leash and off-leash (except April through June) was such a bonus! It was lovely to meet Andrea, such a friendly host! We have no hesitation in recommending Parkside Cottage, just a lovely place to stay and we do hope to return!!

Has everything you need!

Parkside Cottage is great and just as advertised. Great location steps from the trailhead. The best stocked place I’ve ever stayed. It has everything you need right down to bandaids, batteries, pens, even extra toothbrushes and toothpaste! If you’re a cook it has sharp knives and everything you need in the kitchen. The fenced yard is great for kids or pets to play. The patio with the fire table was lovely to relax. Host is readily available for any issues. Excellent value and we would stay again on our next trip to the Comox Valley.

It was our second time staying here. It's a wonderful, peaceful setting with a beautiful trail system literally next door. Loved sitting out on the porch listening to the crickets while the dog enjoyed the fully fenced yard. Wonderful kitchen with all the tools and appliances you could ask for. If we visit Vancouver Island again, this is where we'll stay.

Well deserved getaway.

I rented the cottage to visit our daughter who lives on the island and celebrate my wife’s birthday. The cottage was perfect. The location was what we were looking for. Lots of trails for biking and hiking which we enjoyed. Short walk to the ocean where we seen seals every day. The cottage had everything we needed and more. Andrea was a great host.

Hi, we are your hosts, Scott and Andrea Pelly. We are a family of 4 that moved from North Vancouver in August 2021 to this beautiful acreage in the Comox Valley. We love the space our new property provides us. We both like to work in the yard and Scott can pursue his
woodworking passion. We enjoy all the things to do in the beautiful Comox Valley. We had been vacationing here for years skiing and Mountian biking on Mount Washington Alpine Resort and finally decided to call this home.

We are located down a short quiet gravel road which gives you the feeling you have escaped city life, yet all the conveniences only a 10 min. drive away. Our property backs onto Seal Bay Nature Reserve with an endless trail system.
