2 STARSWhere do i start with this property? I rent from VRBO every year, sometimes multiple times a year. This property was by far one of the most expensive homes I've rented. I will say the location was absolutely perfect and the space for our large group of 19 was great as well but that's about the only positive things I'll say about it. We stayed Mon through Fri and paid a pretty penny. Part of our group arrived early and we requested an early check in because it appeared no one was there the weekend before us. We were initially told it was an extra charge to check in early but then we were denied altogether. Upon arrival it was apparent the house wasnt what the photos online depicted, the home was filthy. Not to mention the pool was green, one of our guests stepped on glass in the pool and had to have it removed. There appeared to be what looked like black mold around a downstairs vent, a vent in the kitchen was dripping on us while we were eating from condensation. We had "clean" towels with strange crusty stuff on them, "clean" bedding with brown stains and one bathroom with a large cockroach in it. Not to mention the disgusting filter in the 3rd level vent looked like it hadnt been changed in years. Overall the house needs a deep clean. There was a wine fridge, 2 golf carts and elevator all of which is not included in the rental. They want extra money for all of that. They also charge extra to heat the hot tub. A very expensive home for only 3 full days and

Good location but set your expectations clearly before committing

We rented this house primarily for 2 things: 1. Location from the airport and beach 2. Hot tub/pool situation. We were 5 adults and 3 children. The most disappointing aspect was that our first 2 of 4 nights were a constant back and forth with our management team about setting our hot tub temperature to somewhere between 102-104 degrees. Keep in mind, there is a hot tub heating pool fee, which we paid but you do NOT have direct control of the temperature. You have to message the property manager and they change it for you on an app. It was at best 99 degrees the first two nights and it was on a schedule from 6pm to midnight every day. I find this to be very inconvenient. If they are charging you a heating fee, they should charge you and ensure that the heat it set to a level of satisfaction that is within reason. Asking to set at 102-104 is NOT unreasonable. Keep in mind, both of our families have hot tubs and we wanted it hot but unfortunately even by day 3, although it was satisfactory, it was at best 101. And to ask for it to be on during the day when it's cool because it's before 6pm was ridiculous. Other comments limited details bc of limit on characters:Owners drove by TWICE asking to turn off front porch light and 3rd floor lights (big brother vibes)House is outdated but serviceableAll the towels had to be rewashed bc of mildew smellNot an open patio/living concept as stickers everywhere stating to keep patio doors closed.Can't control Nest temp (Set at 70)
