Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Management Communication and Unresolved Issues
We’ve stayed at Aqua Resort before and had a great experience, which is why we chose to return—this time with our 5-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, our recent stay was disappointing due to multiple issues with the unit and, more importantly, the lack of proper communication and support from the management company handling this rental.The Unit:Upon arrival, we discovered that the A/C thermostat was completely smashed and unusable, meaning we could not adjust the temperature at all. This made the unit uncomfortably warm, especially at night. We reported the issue to the management company immediately. They claimed to have submitted a maintenance ticket but provided no clear updates or timeline. Despite multiple follow-up calls over several days, nothing was resolved until late Friday evening—our fourth night—when a technician finally arrived. He told us this was the first he’d heard about the issue. By that time, the unit had begun blowing hot air and emitting a burning smell, which was extremely concerning, especially with a child in the unit.Other concerns with the unit included a loose light switch near the bunk beds (a potential safety hazard), non-working lights, and dirty kitchenware that appeared to have food residue left from previous guests.Lack of Access Information:A major frustration was the lack of access codes for essential areas such as the parking garage, pool, and beach.
