We had a group of ladies looking for a relaxing weekend away! This place did not disappoint! Beautiful home with gorgeous views! Plenty of space for us to all hang out, watch movies, and soak in the hot tub. Spacious kitchen for us to cook and entertain. The snow was a nice addition to the scenery, although, it limited our ability to enjoy the outside amenities, such as the fire pit and outdoor seating. Such is the risk in the mountains in February. But Gary, left a snow shovel and salt so that was a nice touch. He was also very responsive to our questions and feedback before, during and after our stay! We would definitely return! Thanks for a great weekend getaway!
This house has something for everyone, and was the perfect match for a double family shared trip. With 2 en-suites on the top floor and 2 rooms down with a shared restroom, the kids loved having their own space, arcade game, and living room downstairs. The soaring ceilings and amazing design of the house had us feeling like we were in a private boutique hotel, and the amenities backed that up (Stocked mini-fridge, coffee and hot chocolate bar/ robes, slippers, and bath salts in the main, tons of extra towels for the hot tub which was HOT upon arrival, just to name a few)With a TV in every room, everyone could take a break from the shared space, but plenty of room for everyone to play games and watch movies together! As the main cook of the group, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need: Great set of knives, drawer full of spices, plenty of dishes to serve your whole group... no plastic though if you have littles. We did come for the mountain, and if you have your gear, once you get your pass, you can reach the slopes with a short drive or 10ish minute walk. We did get hit with a ton of snow and needed chains to get out of the driveway. We can't wait to stay here again next year, hopefully our annual family spot on the slopes!
My name is Gary and I have been a licensed realtor since 2011. I also work in the home improvement industry for an incredible company! I reside in Charlotte and attended Appalachian State University where I graduated with BS in Political Science. I had always wanted to have a home where I lived worked and played during my school years and have fond memories of my time in Banner Elk. I enjoy traveling and great food movies and art. I hope you enjoy out home as much as we loved creating it!
